Except Hildibrand world builds, just not in a way you expect. The ARR questline alone goes into what happened to Sil'dih. My issue with this decision is the lack of world building. I work for a living so I know it's pretty sweet to reuse things to make an existing job easier but it does feel a bit cheap that instead of new lore or a questline that fleshes out the world we get told, "Do this existing questline if you want a relic". I thought they were making a relic quest line, not a prerequisite to pad out time like they were making another beast tribe quest. Why fight it at this point, I just wish the devs would do something so erroneous that it will finally chase me off, lol.

I'm saying it's lazy to reuse an existing questline for something like a relic, nothing more.
P.S. the Sil'dih revelation was during the pld questline, not the ARR msq.

They do touch upon that during the Hildy ARR line though the pld questline is the meat of the sil'dih lore imo. Again, Hilibrand is whatever. I just find it very odd that every relic questline had a new questline to do that builds the world or give us new lore. With this sudden prerequisite I would bet that the new stuff will be much smaller in comparison due to the fact that since the Hildy questline is long enough to warrant a few 8 man fights, I believe they will use that as justification to write less lore/story into the relic step. Feel free to prove me wrong devs, I would rather be pleasantly surprised than right.
except they aren't "reusing" an existing questline any more than they "reused" the ivalice raids to get you into bozja, or how they decided with shadowbringers to "reuse" the crystal tower questline to lead into shadowbringers. its a prerequisite to a new questline to do the old stuff that came before it and if you like hildibrand you will most likely have great fun with it, if not than yea, sorry for you but you will survive, just like i survived bozja (or the ivalice raids for that matter, both just absolutely don't interest me and my life went on fine)
