Even less so female ones they're almost non-existent.

Not saying they should be neglected because of that.
But even if say they just solved all of the issues I don't think the playerbase for them would increase much long-term.
Maybe short term there would be a bump but then people would just go back again I think.
I can't speak to GW2, but as a former female Tauren (yes, I'm expecting people to have a mental breakdown at the WoW talk too lmao), part of the reason they're so off-putting is that they give off major dairy heifer / breeding sow vibes. The males look like bulls, which is great - it suits a hero, an adventurer. But the design of the females leans too heavily into farmyard tropes for female cattle, and makes them look like docile barnyard creatures. It was hard to find an adequate transmog to make my Druid look fierce - so much so that I mostly stayed in kitty form.

Anyway, I guess I'm concerned SE is going to do to Hrothgar what Blizz did to Tauren. I'm worried we'll end up with catgirls and hirsute catgirls.
