don't care to much about the new system i got my houses before this bad system went into effect.
To be fair, a lot of homeowners in this game have 0 self awareness and will actually enter a conversation where people are ranting and upset just to be like "I don't care about this new system because I won back when it was easy" or spend all day dancing in front of their placard while losers come to collect their Gil. I think most people know that they can be banned for saying mean things to each other up front, but the housing system gives them a kind of outlet to be dicks so they just use it. Even before this system, you'd get a new ward opening and people would relocate a dozen times just to screw with other players. A lot of people in this game literally just get a home so they can lord it over people who were unlucky. I've been sort of observing the housing community for a while and some of the stuff I've seen makes other more toxic game communities look like a kindergarten park. I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone jumped into a room full of sad/bitter people just to say "Well I won today, haha!" and leave.
the personal literally above you did exactly that.To be fair, a lot of homeowners in this game have 0 self awareness and will actually enter a conversation where people are ranting and upset just to be like "I don't care about this new system because I won back when it was easy" or spend all day dancing in front of their placard while losers come to collect their Gil. How odd. I distinctly remember people using relocation to troll people during a time when lots of plots were available. You know what, I might've been thinking of when they turned auto-demo back on, and ~45 days afterwards all those plots became available again. That would explain it, because I remember people raging about how they had been clicking, when literally the same groups of people's houses would show up there and reset the timer.I loved how people like yourself confused the re-claiming process for demolished plot with claiming process for fresh plot release.
TDLR, they are not same thing.
In each major plot release in the past, as long as one is not dumb enough to go for so called the dream plot, they can claim a small plot if they put a tiny effort by set alarm clock
No one ask you or think keep clicking a placard, jeeze.
So, chalk it up to a minor memory lapse! Either way, MAIN POINT still stands that a lot of homeowners are dicks.
Oh lol

In my humble opinion, I feel the lottery system is far better than the previous system.
What SE should do in my opnion are 2 things:
- Reduce the FC wards
- Reenable auto-demonlish. I am myself from Ukraine but I live in the comfort of Belgium now and I feel the decision to suspend auto-demolition for the following reason: https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...8b104d6a595126 was not a correct one. It was a nice gesture. A war in my home country should not have being the reason for this decision.
Edit: I heard the main issue for adding more wards is the server capacity, if 1 person is in a ward, the whole ward is loaded onto the server. So maybe a 3rd thing SE could do, buy more servers? I think we shouldn't be cry babies in the first place and try too be reasonable. SE already did a massive server upgrade with EW. I feel they deserve some breathing and let them analyse future data too see if housing servers could eventually be upgraded? I am little bit tired of seeing soo much crying on this forum

But unlike those other events, this was the most notible one. Involving countries that were quite active in gaming.
As company you often dont want to bring it out like that, as it just gives a political statement. Political statements can often backfire as it can prevent you from trading in certain countries, even after the issue was resolved. So being save and generic is logical. At the same time, it also indirectly indicates you care about the other cases (even if you effectively dont).
I guess if your area wasn't under 20 metres of flood water or covered in ash from a volcano.
Even if SE were masking a statement to avoid offending any side, it's simply wrong to say that this flareup of a long running conflict between Russia and Ukraine is the only cause, and a worldwide one at that.
Demolition was stopped on all servers, outside of the recent spike in energy prices and the coming shortage of semiconductors due to Neon shortages, the flareup in Russia/Ukraine really doesn't spread far past the EU ones.
