This was never meant to fix the major issue (supply), just alleviate carpal tunnel and auto-clickers. I would keep trying, but temper your expectations of winning. Good luck if you do give it another go!
I lost both my bids to people who just made meme RP houses to spite people.
Did they win fair and square? Yes.
Should they be forced to permanently run Praetorium for 8 hours a day until 7.0? Also yes
the personal literally above you did exactly that.To be fair, a lot of homeowners in this game have 0 self awareness and will actually enter a conversation where people are ranting and upset just to be like "I don't care about this new system because I won back when it was easy" or spend all day dancing in front of their placard while losers come to collect their Gil. I think most people know that they can be banned for saying mean things to each other up front, but the housing system gives them a kind of outlet to be dicks so they just use it. Even before this system, you'd get a new ward opening and people would relocate a dozen times just to screw with other players. A lot of people in this game literally just get a home so they can lord it over people who were unlucky. I've been sort of observing the housing community for a while and some of the stuff I've seen makes other more toxic game communities look like a kindergarten park. I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone jumped into a room full of sad/bitter people just to say "Well I won today, haha!" and leave.
Someone gotta win it... if you look at how people camped houses before lottery it would easy count 30+ people over the 1-3 days it will take before someone can bot their way to success.
So it is no different than camping, also the bile here is more about that most of the wards currently is set for FC only to grab, it will change after some lottery cycles to free for all.
I loved how people like yourself confused the re-claiming process for demolished plot with claiming process for fresh plot release. To be fair, a lot of homeowners in this game have 0 self awareness and will actually enter a conversation where people are ranting and upset just to be like "I don't care about this new system because I won back when it was easy" or spend all day dancing in front of their placard while losers come to collect their Gil. TDLR, they are not same thing.
In each major plot release in the past, as long as one is not dumb enough to go for so called the dream plot, they can claim a small plot if they put a tiny effort by set alarm clock
No one ask you or think keep clicking a placard, jeeze.
You don't care right? This will absolutely be my last lotto in any way shape or form until something is fixed. I'm tired of going to every plot, seeing 30+ people on ANY GIVEN plot, and knowing my chances will be slim to none. I understand with the demand there is that there will be a lot of people wanting to get in, but it leads me to the question of WHY?
Why is this artificial demand even HERE? To everyone who will say "Oh but you have apartments!" Yeah, thanks, I sure do want the dumbed down, baby version of the system that I cannot use outdoor furniture in, nor more than like what, 20 pieces of furniture? Apartment sizes and restrictions are a joke, and they are certainly not a fix to this housing problem right now.
It feels like, to me, the lottery is just worse off. Sure, I really appreciate not having to sit and click a plaque for hours, but this isn't much better if you ask me!
I really hope sooner rather than later they fix the split between FC and Personals. It feels really bad to go into FC wards, see them empty or see everyone who was grandfathered into the system. I'm not particularly upset abt the grandfathering, in most cases, but it still is frustrating to see. This is a draw for a LOT of people to this game at end game!
Also, I don't really want to hear "Well housing started as FC only!" I don't care what it started as. I care about the needs and wants of people within the game IN CURRENT YEAR.
TLDR: Lost my housing for the third time and this is my last lotto until they fix the system. It is NOT working.
I don't really care how you think either on a system that is promoted by lottery worshippers.
System is already in the game and it will stay.
My money bid is you will still enter lottery if SE announce another plot release few months later.
This was my last lotto bc there are no more private plots on my server if all the plots are claimed from this time
Many of the plots came from what is now the designated FC wards
Demolition needs to come back
lotto needs to be shorter
Apartments & FC rooms need to be equal to a small/ cottage house
Instanced housing needs to be created
Tbf, your slim chance is equal to their slim chance. You still have that chance to get the house. Keep trying, you be surprised that your effort will eventually pay off. Someone has to win, and it's the same for every participant.
Sure does suck housing. Last one again to enter the lottery won the plot. Doesn't even help if your the first to enter the lottery for a plot someone also beats you. They need to fix it so don't have to put down the full amount to enter it so can enter multiple lotteries at once.

How odd. I distinctly remember people using relocation to troll people during a time when lots of plots were available. You know what, I might've been thinking of when they turned auto-demo back on, and ~45 days afterwards all those plots became available again. That would explain it, because I remember people raging about how they had been clicking, when literally the same groups of people's houses would show up there and reset the timer.I loved how people like yourself confused the re-claiming process for demolished plot with claiming process for fresh plot release.

So, chalk it up to a minor memory lapse! Either way, MAIN POINT still stands that a lot of homeowners are dicks.
Oh lol
