Pretty sure you jump on a frog because of Naruto lol. Ninja animations over the years seem to be heavily influenced by that show.

I love the hand signs, I love the ninja run, I love the flippy jump, I think raiju feels weird being on the GCD as a movement ability, and I hate the frog.

I remember leveling ninja and thinking it was so cool and the moment I got and tried out the frog I was like "...wtf is this?" and was legitimately sad.

I like the frog. My main disappointment with it is that it doesn't briefly unlock any superjump. That it has no use case outside of AoE is a close second (though, ofc, I'd then wish Bhava likewise had some crossover).

Really? I thought it was fleeting raiju that they did and not forked raiju. I don't watch many shonen animes so I never know these things, but I can sure guess!

Ya, Kakashi does a lightning move called chidori. Was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw them showing that animation in the job previews for endwalker lol.
