ESO lets you hide your information. Don't see how anything would change from how it is now i.e: If you berate someone over dps performance you find yourself in the Gaol.

Opt-out systems don't work well, FFLogs already does this and opting out of that is seen as a mark of shame. Overwatch tried opt-out when they hid player profiles to combat toxicity, but found they had to make it opt-in to show information instead, to prevent opting out from being a mark of shame for players and a new source of harassment.

I still hate that FFLog is opt out, it should be, LIKE ANY SYSTEM, be OPT IN, you should NOT need to take extra steps for your data(and yes, your character and youir performance IS personal data)
and people who try to justify it as "oh, but FFlog would be worthless if it was only opt in" worthless.... because? you can no longer see someone elses performance and judge them on it? without that person even knowing their data is up there? The "data" (aka the party etc) is still there, it would just be obfuscated with no name/character attached to it


or my favorit "i kick anyone who has their Logs hidden when they join my Farm group so making it opt in is stupid" so? what would change for you then if its opt in, if its opt in, everyone else is hidden, kick them then, maybe then you realize how stupid that argument is.
