ilvl is something you can achieve by completing more tasks.
DPS is something based of a large number of variables that possible could be affected by luck of the draw... Incase you didn't know Crits are a not guaranteed, some AOE/Boss targeting is random. A player could just be having a bad day... Or maybe a class is a bit unbalanced, Or or or...

When starting out a group maybe someone really is a little on the bad side... but if you give them a chance they can improve. IF you never give them a chance or hint, well too bad...

100% this. the ones crying for ACT don't understand all the bullying that would occur as a direct result of endorsing parses as a measurement for competency in raids/trials. Noooooo thank you. I much prefer having a game where new players can pick up a savage trial and actually learn it, instead of being treated like trash because they havent memorized every single detail of a fight for maximum dps upkeep.

Actually, yeah that would be a good idea. Too many people abuse it and put requirements that are way higher than they need to be. You don't need 590+ ilvl to farm Zodiark EX, people were farming it comfortably before that level of gear was even out.

It's almost like Yoshi-P has never changed his mind or been proved irrefutably incorrect on multiple occasions. He's still a human, and humans make mistakes. It's hardly the end of the world.

Because people will start demanding that you link your DPS to join a group. For veteran players like me "it doesn't matter". for new players who are just starting to learn "no group for you buddy. Play with the other rejects".

Maybe we should hide gear score too? Disable the ability to lock party finder by iL. God forbid we quantify how much damage a team does.

I can see it being used in statics. A lot of statics host try-outs anyway and can normally tell if someone is underperforming. If however you're talking about a random in PF demanding your logs, just report them lol.
