Ok well while I'm glad for a clarification on what happened, there is currently nothing saying what they are going to do about the whole situation since this caused a lot of psychological issues for people (not me personally but a handful of people ive had conversations with). And we were basically told to just to trust that they will fix it and they will make it right. I hope that the next update comes out with something that tells us how they are going to make the situation better. Needless to say I can't say that I'm looking forward to it.

Being optimistic about ishgard housing is what made us all immensely disappointed and hating housing somehow even more in ffxiv in the first place. I will only start celebrating when they clearly lay out what the procedure will be for the fixes, to every single last detail. They can't fool me twice. If they just give a refund, and not give solo bidders their house/reroll plots for those with multiple bids immediately, that will be another failure that can be added to the 10 year long list of fuck ups the housing team has done.

You are being way too optimistic about this, it's speaking from a gil standpoint that people will receive their refund back, it doesnt say anywhere people will get the houses they didnt get due to the issues, if it does please pinpoint as to where, because I dont see it.

They wont be affected because they got their GIL back, not the houses.

The wording they chose is very specific - they would have zero need to mention it if it was relating to the gil itself and not the plot. Like, of course the gil's not going to be affected. Nothing short of a rollback can mess with gil that's been moved, you need look no further than the 'sprout steals all the gil from FC chest then leaves with the GMs unable to do anything' scams to know gil isn't the concern here.

The very fact the sentence before specifically drops 'we have the data on entries' is the entire focal point of that paragraph and what the statement refers to - the fact that they can reference the data, and not base it off of whoever still hasn't pulled their refund, by specifically mentioning that the measures they'll be taking will not negatively affect those who have pulled their refund, I.E, screwing themselves over out of a potential re-roll.

If it was referring to the gil, they would explicitly be talking about the 'there were no entries' error in that paragraph, since that actually does block refunds and would be an actual gil issue. But they specifically refer to the refunds, showing that it's not this case.

They're working on it, and their statement all but confirms they're doing a re-roll or something based on the entry data to deliver houses to those who entered and won/could have won. I agree with you they will have a reroll ......everything has stopped ......so reroll and reward the winners ......... names will be posted of those who won even if you have taken your money out. Just go back and see your name pay or cancel the entry if you have paid accept the house or cancel and get a refund. So simple

i wouldn't get your hopes up to be honest, they have a habit of turning a bad situation into a worse one. them saying they have data is cool and all but that doesn't mean they'll give you the plot as compensation no where is it stated that will be the case your best case scenario is they tell you can reclaim your gil and enter the next entry period or your entry is just placed on the same plot you bid on for the next entry period and you are just gunna have to pray or whatever else you do to keep your hopium alive that no one else aims for the plot you want.
the worse case you get only your gil back and told its the best they can do and to wait until further updates/adjustments are made and the lotto is closed until patch 6.1x is implemented
