You missed the "by the measures we will be taking afterwards." part of the quote, despite the fact that the full quote has been posted multiple times.
Although we have no idea what these measures will entail, it does mean that they're planning to do something.
Call me crazy but Im starting to think you werent the only bidder for that plot. Its very odd that Im seeing a lot of people saying "I was the only bidder" when housing was supposed to be a super premium thing and you figure EVERY PLOT to have a lot of bidders no matter what.
Just doesnt make sense to me, I have a theory that the placard interface in of itself was buggy with showing the number of applicants

He's on Sophia. There are tons of people who bid 1 on a plot that are still sitting there. Materia should have been FCFS and not Lotto but it is what it is. There are tons of houses with no bids too, remember all 5 housing districts went up for sale completely empty.Call me crazy but Im starting to think you werent the only bidder for that plot. There will be a slew of houses left for round 2, 3 and 4 and sadly the RMT botters are going to have a field day on that DC. And I might add there are mansions still sitting there with 0 bids.

HI, fellow Sophia player like them here, a large majority of plots were 1-2 bids tops with the highest i saw on a non fc plot being around 8, there were absolutely plenty of people in this boat here, including me, who got the 0 errorCall me crazy but Im starting to think you werent the only bidder for that plot. We have our good friend Shibi who literally has a screenshot of him being the only bidder on a plot only to be bugged out of the plot lol, he's posted it around the forums related to housing.Call me crazy but Im starting to think you werent the only bidder for that plot. Even on Zalera, some of the FC only wards had 0-1 bidders. It's personal houses that went nuts, but there were a couple of large homes that had 1 bidder. So yeah entirely possible for there to be one bidder even in non-Materia dcs..

OCE servers have tiny populations and all wards opened at once so the few eligible were spread very very thin. My ward has some people that were hit by the 0 glitch but most of the cottages had no bidders at all.Call me crazy but Im starting to think you werent the only bidder for that plot. also theres a new update out as of a few min ago, basically:
- Those who won were the rightful winners (ie. the people who claimed the system was off by 1 are wrong)
- Plots that display 0 winner ticket are a client side error, there is/was a winner determined server side but we cannot see who won. The winners will be able to claim their land once they fix the glitch.
- There will be no rerolls/rollbacks

THANK YOU FOR THE INFO WOOOO
Alrighty! Thanks for explaining it. Just had those thoughts when I was seeing players responses being the same.We have our good friend Shibi who literally has a screenshot of him being the only bidder on a plot only to be bugged out of the plot lol, he's posted it around the forums related to housing.

It pretty clearly gives the impression they intend to re-roll entries who lost to zero. Which means if you were the only participation, you'll get the house. Additionally, they admit to having logs for all entries, thus players who withdrew their gil won't be screwed. All in all, this is a fairly good response imo.Nothing very interesting in that post, aside from some explainations about what happened which is welcome, no infos about what will happen following the "fix" though, if the people who won will get their house or not, I would personally assume that wont be the case but who knows.
