How about you keep the old system, work on a new one that allows for instanced plots and then release that to the public. Still, those already with houses should not be deprived of that experience because you and I don't have one, or they could lessen that strain by allowing for bigger apartments. It's absurd that we state that a large plot can't be in an apartment. The same goes with a free company hall.

What is weird is this has been consensus since day one issues. Leave the wards as is, they were an attempt that failed the community. Just build proper instanced housing. I have even went so far as to suggest a charge on sub if it is server cost issue. Then you get the SE apologists get an apartment it is instanced. Except they didn't build that new they just reused free company housing assets and can't make it any better.



This dev team has refused and put more and more into their system of housing. I don't know why they refuse to admit it is a mistake and move on.

Oh I do have a house. I realise my opinion is quite controversial, and most people with houses will obviously think that it is a shitty idea. But I have no confidence in the housing team that they will improve this system, only to make it worse. Unless everyone involved in housing is replaced in the company completely, I think letting it burn is better than watching the housing team screw up again and again for another 9 years. It'll save us a lot time and anger in the long run kek

I mean there's Lost Ark??? I heard a lot of praise for it despite it being pay 2 win.

I can see why you would think so, but comparing FFXIV with Lost Ark is similar to comparing WoW with Runescape. They're MMO but not the same type of MMOs.
You can compare Lost Ark to Path of exile but you can't compare both to FFXIV and WoW
You can compare Albion online with Runescape but you can't compare them to both Lost Ark and Path of exile.
Different aspects and focuses that you can't just simply compare. Trying to do so is like comparing cars with buses or trucks. They run on the same road and are identical in similarities yet so different, and so are MMOs
Currently, nothing really stands out in the field. New world died, ESO and GW2 are getting expansions but aren't really standing out from the crowd and WoW just lost its playerbase. I'm having hopes that WoW's next expansion will take a positive curve into improvements and that Ashes of creation will turn out to be a great game (Its really promising in my opinion) so that the competition and the genre will be revived.

Like I care. They haven't run me off after 7 years. They're not going to do so now. I'm just tired of the sniping. I'm tired of this atmosphere that if someone is empathetic with the developers that they don't see or don't care about issues and think the game is perfect. And using that as a reason to turn vitriol their way. They can hate the game if they want. They don't get to hate other players for disagreeing or try to intimidate them into not speaking up.

I like my Midlander, though I'd much prefer the option to play a taller guy with bigger muscles who doesn't look like he's lost a hundred bar fights.

So people value different things. And yet I personally would struggle to find another MMO that even comes close to offering what XIV has. I still get frustrated over some parts of the game (like the cash shop or the lack of difficulty in old content) but if you look at the competition apart from maybe the usual other five (maybe) the rest is really, really bad. I wouldn't go so far as to say we're all spoiled but c'mon. Again, the sky isn't falling.

Four sets I can think of are reused assets. This expansion has not been a glowing example of skilled gear design. Every expansion has seen less sets then the last one. You can say quality is better they are more unique, that doesn't invalidate the statement less sets.

But that's untrue. Every expansion comes with the same number of new sets, and with some recoloured ones. Endwalker doesn't have less sets than previous expansions. And the sets have seen an improvement because now the dg and raid ones come as dyeable, unlike how they were in the past.
We also get more crafted glamours per patch than we did before.

(Note: glamours are my favourite part of every expansion and the one feature I pay the most attention to. I would be disappointed if we got less. But we did not).

Technically we do. As good looking as all the new gearsets are, they've been using a lot of the "everyone has essentially the same gear, but color swapped" technique lately.

This is untrue as well. Some classes have always shared the same model with different colours, but we're getting the same number of designs per set (which is... 4? Or 5, not sure). I wish everyone got the same gear; I'm really loving both the DRG and BRD models from the latest patches, which I can't wear on my WHM character unless I level those classes. I guess I'll have to do it!

I'm sorry to tell you this. No one can run you off, and no one tries to. The fact that you think people do by saying things you don't like shows your self-importance. People are paying customers and have the right to complain. You have the right to say otherwise. No one said you don't. Still, people don't have to be nice to you when you're trying to subvert a complaints thread to notify the devs that they aren't happy with the current state of the game, and that's malicious because you are damaging their ability to communicate their disaffection with the current service offering square Enix provides especially after today. No one has called you names, nor do they hate you they don't know you, nor do they care about you. You are someone who put themselves in front of a charging bull and got hit, and then complained the bull hit them.

They cant intimidate you for disagreeing. The forums aren't real. The people here aren't akin to girl from the Ring they cant come to through your screen to reach out after seven days of reading the cursed thread.

Unless you're into housing. Then the sky has fallen so many times the only thing left is a barren wasteland. The only survivors left have had their mental states deteriorate so much, they are still punching placards and are afraid of the number 0 to this day.
