What is going on with Square Enix and the 14 team?

The game could definitely do for more things to do and strive. Sometimes it is about the little things. Mokokos aren't overly grindy, with rewards at various milestones. This game could do with more things like that for sure. I just want more things to be rewarding to do in general. It feels like there is a stranglehold on any collectibles, glamours, etc. that get released, so whatever does get released now gets put into ridiculous grinds if it is desirable, or it's just straight up junk like the stupid sparklers or whatever - the things that float over your head.

Yeah, the grinds in FF14 just feel so meaningless or so utterly out of reach. Grinds like the Pterodactyl are honestly extremely demotivating.

In Lost Ark I actually feel like I want to strive to do everything because it's actually possible to without spending a lot of time.

In FF14 I don't bother doing most achievements because they're so tedious, grindy, and frankly monotonic.

the game is a hot mess right now technically, story wise it's a bore. I don't think they want to pump more money onto an outdated game with a decreasing sub base. Time to move on.
