What is going on with Square Enix and the 14 team?

We're paying a monthly subscription fee for this. It isn't a charity and there are glaring issues. A patch having the regular expected patch features, after an expansion released no less than 6 months after it should have been (even allowing for COVID that's in excess of what they stated was the time they needed to account for it), on a longer patch cycle, is nothing impressive. They're getting as much credit as is due, and in this case, the response they're getting for these issues is the "credit" that is due.

I can see how some of "you" in the forum just want the game to get better by pretending the game is shit at it's core. Talking down real issue like COVID to keep shitting on the company so they can keep the engine running even harder than before.

It's just sad if they use forum to listen to feedback, and they will get nothing out of it. Just misinformation and hate, nothing that makes sense or even constructive.
I hope this won't drown all those posts with legit concerns and straight arguments to be heard instead of all these non-sense.

To re-state what I said: the amount of time for the delay is in excess with what they indicated the setback was, i.e. on the order of 3-4 months give or take, when in effect this ended being 6+ months based on their usual release cycle. If you think that's "talking down", it speaks more to a deficiency in your reading comprehension abilities, intellectual honesty, or both.

As to the rest, it is merely deluded shilling, so I think any further engagement with you would be a waste of my time. The devs are going to get feedback, whether they read it or not, whether you and others like you trying to shut it down like it or not, and if the devs don't pay heed to it? Well, they can spend the next few months scratching their heads when people eventually do begin unsubbing.
