I agree. Most of these people most likely think 2 million Gil in a day is a lot, when that’s actually really meaningless, lol. I don’t want to crap on people’s accomplishments but that’s really not an accomplishment. Back in heavensward patches, you could expect to earn 15+ million Gil per day and 100+million during a new patch with new raid gear.
It’s harder to earn Gil now because Crafting is too accessible, which is what Yoshida’s goal was from the beginning. The data center visit, world visit, accessibility, removing Gil from scrip turn ins, etc…was all to make Gil harder to earn. Did it make crafting more accessible? Yes. But it also made people who were rich from older patches even richer and much more rare to come by. Those players are now the top 1% of players. So it really only benefited those players in the end.
I disagree. Lower prices benefitted everyone.
The rich though now are just sitting in wealth that they will never use due to this while the average player can actually afford things without a ton of grinding or getting lucky drops.
