The community hasn't and won't ever change. It super stinks you have a mark on your account but I guess lets be happy it took this long. This is the EXACT reason I never talk in game and I just leave parties that I don't have fun with. Sneezing is a death sentence if a group doesn't like you. Hope you get it appealed.

Trust me, I still look at my forum infractions and think that. I look at people literally full on cursing in posts, in their OPs, and they don't get any moderator interaction! "Slander", please... SLANDER?! Absolutely ridiculous. It's unbelievable. Like, actually unbelievable the stuff you can get banned for on here.

Yeah, I made a several paragraph appeal for it, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Remember: I don't talk in-game either, and I got a warning! Maybe I have been leaving too many parties lately, to be honest. But like, I don't want to spend 45 minutes in a dungeon, or have no fun because I have to spam cure 2 on a tank who won't use cds. Only thing chatting does is make it less likely.. Sigh.

I'm not convinced this is the entire truth. Unless one has been constantly dropping out repeatedly over a period of many hours, every day for a very extended period of time then maybe, but in the end I refuse to believe that a player would be given an infraction for leaving a dungeon. Ever. We're either missing something here or a GM was accidentally heavy-handed in which case there is a system in place they can use to appeal.

But if you d/c and not logout, or remove yourself from a party that is reportable, and it's spelled out that way in the ToS example list. Because if it happens at the beginning of a dungeon they have to wait several minutes to even kick someone, so they might have asked for a GM assistance in-duty and probably retaliated for this.

I dced during a boss fight, and reconnected as they were finishing it. I left and they could refill.

The thing is though, it's entirely possible there was a mis-communication and the other three were friends or familiar with each other. Even if a player doesn't do anything wrong, if multiple people report quickly, then it's sort of an automatic hand out that can then be appealed. Could Sturm have said something? Absolutely. Is it also possible that they were just being petty? Definitely. Appealing it will be the only way to see if the actions done and words spoke were, in fact, 'innocent'. And if they were, keep in mind false reporting can get one in trouble too.

Maybe, you'd think they could get a replacement tank pretty quick though. I guess I should have said something, huh? I should have lied and said my dog died or something, make up some sob story. Speaking on that, you want commendations? Make up some sob story.

The more I read the more I grow closer into believing it’s somebody with intense snowflake syndrome reporting you and boom, your luck has run out for the moment.

Sorry to hear this happening to you, I hope your appeal will be a smooth sailing. These horror stories are the sole reason I talk so much only in close friends linkshells and discord VCs while keeping it tame & low as possible in everywhere else!

That's not the point. If you feel this is in error then you have an option to challenge it and should. I am not saying you have or have not done this, nor am I attempting to place blame. Not telling you what rule was broken is pretty standard procedure because you can use it to retaliate against the person (or in this case, people) who filed it.

You can still play. You're not banned. Challenge the decision and prove them wrong by being the decent player you know you're capable of being.
