Well, it's a player dispute that results in someone being denied content. That seems the perfect fit for GM intervention to make sure the kick has been used properly. I'm sure most kick would pass anyway as, most of the time that I've seen a kick, it's regarding someone being offline or afk.

I find they come in bursts. I can go months without ever needing someone to be vote kicked. Then a patch will come, or an event will be announced, then all of the returning players rush the game and whoops, the next three World of Darkness (and it is always WoD) runs are absolutely unplayable because there's at least one tank deliberately spinning the bosses around in circles, a DPS racing the rest of the party to pull the boss ASAP to try and get as many people killed as they can before the tanks can grab aggro away and someone just yelling at everyone else despite them needing to be revived five times every fight because they've failed every mechanic possible.

I usually just chalk that up to playing with others.I find they come in bursts. I can go months without ever needing someone to be vote kicked. I guess boils down to 98% of the time the short period I have to spend with people like that is the price I pay for usually having a wonderful time. once something is done, I never have to see that person again, why delay it or make it worse if you dont manage to kick them? lol

So solo players should be able to decide on the behalf of premades if someone is worth playing with? You think being a solo player grants a person some manner of superior judgement? Do you also think no solo players are trolls or toxic? That none would abuse the ability to kick whoever they want if they knew no one could stop them?
And do you really think a premade group would always just continue the content if their buddy gets kicked? I certainly would leave if I felt the kick my friend got was undeserved. No way would I want to continue to play with people who mistreated my friend.
I'm starting to think that this thread is related to your other thread about players being unhappy with your single pack pulls as a tank. Did you get kicked and now you're very salty about it?

I find it more irritating that you can't vote while rolling on loot - if someone DCs or you otherwise need to kick someone you have to wait forever for the timer. I understand why this is the case, but 90% of the time the loot is trash no one cares about.

No actually, I didn't get kicked, I just had a premade that were trolling the entire dungeon and pulling more then I felt comfortable doing. But because they were in a premade, I couldn't do anything about it. I am really tired of people like this, that ruin other people's experiences just to show off to their friends. It happens in so many games and so many games are ruined by it. Of course you would leave but if anyone in my guild got kicked for being obnoxious, I would happily stay. I don't have loyalty to people who cannot be respectful or decent. So solo players should be able to decide on the behalf of premades if someone is worth playing with? These kinds of situations are exceedingly rare, I'm sorry it happened to you but it's not really a commonplace thing, not used or abused enough to warrant an overhaul of the entire system at least. The best thing you can do is chin up and carry on rather than dwell over it.
Fix it how? Not being able to kick while loot is being rolled is 100% intentional. The alternative is "aiming piece drops, BRD rolls, DNC initiates vote kick on the BRD, DNC wins roll unopposed", which is waaaaaay worse. My big wish for vote kick comes hand in hand with a fix for the loot rolling system. You can't initiate a vote if people haven't rolled on loot, which means if someone's trolling they can just not roll on loot and four minutes is more than long enough for people to want to start the next encounter, which means more loot, which means kicking an active troll in something like an alliance raid becomes surprisingly hard unless they're actively causing wipes.

There are unpleasant people in every game. Some games nurture or enable this behaviour more than others but there isn't a single gaming community that doesn't have mean-spirited people. When you play with random people expect random results. Sometimes random won't be in your favour. If you feel the situation won't improve then leave. That's what you can do about it. If their behaviour was truly awful then you can report them.No actually, I didn't get kicked, I just had a premade that were trolling the entire dungeon and pulling more then I felt comfortable doing. What you're presenting as a solution merely swaps one problem for another. Solo players can be toxic trolls too and there are those out there who wouldn't think twice about kicking someone from the premade just to get some laughs.
The best way to deal with these people is to not engage with them and report them. By staying in the group you're rewarding their behaviour. By not reporting them you're enabling it.
