Oh yeah, or like maybe make it so the timer drops a bit if everyone else has voted or something? It takes like two seconds to vote, if you don't see the popup *or* the flood of "so and so rolled whatever on item" chat spam then after a certain point it's gotta be on you that you're not rolling.

Premades generally wont kick anybody unless they get annoyed by the random and the random obviously has to be doing something annoying.

I agree with your thoughts but I believe they implemented it that way to prevent loot abuse by way of kicking people if a specific loot drops and said vote initiator wants it.

generally I cant be bothered to kick people, and if you are running into the problem THAT often, it might be a sign of other things.

I find blacklisting works far better

I find they come in bursts. I can go months without ever needing someone to be vote kicked. Then a patch will come, or an event will be announced, then all of the returning players rush the game and whoops, the next three World of Darkness (and it is always WoD) runs are absolutely unplayable because there's at least one tank deliberately spinning the bosses around in circles, a DPS racing the rest of the party to pull the boss ASAP to try and get as many people killed as they can before the tanks can grab aggro away and someone just yelling at everyone else despite them needing to be revived five times every fight because they've failed every mechanic possible.

I usually just chalk that up to playing with others.

I guess boils down to 98% of the time the short period I have to spend with people like that is the price I pay for usually having a wonderful time. once something is done, I never have to see that person again, why delay it or make it worse if you dont manage to kick them? lol

I find it more irritating that you can't vote while rolling on loot - if someone DCs or you otherwise need to kick someone you have to wait forever for the timer. I understand why this is the case, but 90% of the time the loot is trash no one cares about.

These kinds of situations are exceedingly rare, I'm sorry it happened to you but it's not really a commonplace thing, not used or abused enough to warrant an overhaul of the entire system at least. The best thing you can do is chin up and carry on rather than dwell over it.

Ah, so if I am in a premade with my spouse, and we get put with another premade of two people who are just trolling and trying to ruin the duty, we can't kick and instead have to eat the 30 minute penalty for no fault of our own.

If I am running with 2 friends and the 4th random decides they're not going to play as the roll they queued for, we can't kick.

Don't try to limit the dismiss feature to something as silly as this.

Difference in playstyle is a valid reason for kicking someone. If you are being kicked often enough by premades for you to make this thread complaining about it, maybe you are the problem.

It happens in so many games and so many games are ruined by it. Of course you would leave but if anyone in my guild got kicked for being obnoxious, I would happily stay. I don't have loyalty to people who cannot be respectful or decent.
Not everything you don’t like or disagree with is trolling. If that were the case I’d say you were the troll for not conforming to the groups desires. Majority rules after all

It’s not 2/4 or 4/8. It’s 2/3 and 4/7. The person being dismissed doesn’t get a vote. That would be ridiculous as 99% of the time it’d be a guaranteed “no” from that player. So it’s formed in a way to get a majority.
