I'd say either at least let the vote go through or at least queue up (so once everyone rolled the vote would automatically pop up), but not kick them, until the loot is resolved; or let people roll on things they haven't rolled on after leaving the dungeon. I've certainly spaced out and walked out of a portal before rolling on the final boss loot before and realized I'd wanted something that dropped right after. Though the latter is likely never going to happen due to how things work, but I don't see why the former can't.

Ah, so if I am in a premade with my spouse, and we get put with another premade of two people who are just trolling and trying to ruin the duty, we can't kick and instead have to eat the 30 minute penalty for no fault of our own.

If I am running with 2 friends and the 4th random decides they're not going to play as the roll they queued for, we can't kick.

Don't try to limit the dismiss feature to something as silly as this.

Difference in playstyle is a valid reason for kicking someone. If you are being kicked often enough by premades for you to make this thread complaining about it, maybe you are the problem.

It happens in so many games and so many games are ruined by it. Of course you would leave but if anyone in my guild got kicked for being obnoxious, I would happily stay. I don't have loyalty to people who cannot be respectful or decent.
If they're being abusive or trolling, file a GM report. If they're not breaking any game rules and were at their keyboard, playing, then... you didn't have any grounds to votekick them anyway.

Premades generally wont kick anybody unless they get annoyed by the random and the random obviously has to be doing something annoying.

I agree with your thoughts but I believe they implemented it that way to prevent loot abuse by way of kicking people if a specific loot drops and said vote initiator wants it.

Not everything you don’t like or disagree with is trolling. If that were the case I’d say you were the troll for not conforming to the groups desires. Majority rules after all

It's not 3 or 5 people and that is a problem with the current system. 2/4 and 4/8 is not a majority. It should be something that requires the other 3/5 people to all agree to.

It’s not 2/4 or 4/8. It’s 2/3 and 4/7. The person being dismissed doesn’t get a vote. That would be ridiculous as 99% of the time it’d be a guaranteed “no” from that player. So it’s formed in a way to get a majority.

They're still members of the full party. And a majority of the full party is 3/4. There shouldn't be a system where two people who are together can come in and ride roughshod over the other two people. That third person's vote needs to count.

And if you want to say it's out of 3 or 7, then fine. Make it unanimous or it doesn't pass.

The person being voted on does not and should not get a vote. There is obvious bias there that is accounted for in not considering their say in the matter. So 2/3 and 4/7 is majority and fair

There was some bad mess with people kicking based on loot a very long time ago. I think the loot timer is way too long, though; surely by 30 seconds you should be able to make a decision for dungeon loot.
