I think fflogs are a cancer, personally. I am still pro-parse for self improvement though and it is absolute joke that SE doesn't build one in house for console players so they know how they are doing relative to the rest of the group. Harassing underperformers is already a bannable offense so why not just give console players the goods?

So here's the thing with this take. Comparing yourself to the rest of the group isn't really a good way to improve, because that aspect really doesn't matter. If I'm a Bard, comparing myself to a Black Mage really doesn't tell me if I'm playing my job in a way to improve. Instead, I should be comparing myself to other Bards to see how I can compare. FFLogs is one part of that bridge. It's not widely discussed, but there is another tool that feeds of FFLogs (XIVanalysis) that takes your logs, and can pinpoint areas for improvement.
