Right there, a person who, because parsers, that are against the ToS, are becoming too common, is being bounced out of statics.

That's a loss, due to parsers being used, and is sort of the entire point of the topic you decided to post in. So... you stepped in it mate.

I mean, where's the line, if it's okay for a static to demand you use things that are against the TOS, what's to keep them from demanding other things that break the law? (reminder, the Terms of service are a contract, and violations of them violations of contract law).

Established groups are allowed to vet their players how they like. Are you saying that every group no matter what type they are, they have to take on literally anyone?.

If you read the OP they stated high end statics though the OP only stated they cleared the eden raids only, a high end group does much more then this, high end groups want people on their level which is true for any established raiding group and this is ok.

parsing and mods/addons in general are against the rules so just report any such group you find

Running parsers is against the letter but not the spirit of the game and thus is generally something Square turns a blind eye to.

Disparaging other players based on parser data, or demanding they use parsers, is against both the letter and spirit of the game, and a GM will take action if you report someone for doing so.

I'm gonna be real and say if any game, period, started handing out bans for using third party software entirely unrelated to the game (like voice chat apps) I'd straight up quit myself lmao

Not directed at you but like man. I admittedly only skimmed the article where they mentioned Discord technically being against the ToS, but I very much got the impression that it was sort of a "in order to hunt down and ban people using parsers we'd need to use invasive methods and also technically go to the extreme of banning every third party anything" and like... It's so absurd that I just can't even imagine it being taken or used seriously lmao

Anyway yeah OP find a friend or somebody willing to help out is the advice really. Or do what others have suggested and request a trial run. Everyone parsing is doing it at risk obviously but SE is also extremely unlikely to do anything about it unless someone does something silly like link numbers or admit to doing it in chat. So. Take that as you will.

I have my logs hidden and I don't believe in utilizing parsers therefore I don't join groups that do. I think if you are looking to clear EX/Savage content you are better off doing a PF and stating your needs. By joining established statics, they will have their own sets of rules.

Personally, I am only diving into EX this patch because I want the DNC chakrams for EX2. But I don't usually dip into higher-end content on a regular basis. Many players treat Savage/EX like a professional job. That's how they play. I don't personally play that way but I've just learned to find groups that suit my needs.

If you don't do savage/high end content,why do you need a group anyway ?
