    I just got done talking to Grub Hub about this last night as well... First guy I talked to said that the code was never applied to my order and next time I should double check before placing an order with them. When I said I can email a video of me putting the code in on my PC (always try to cover myself for situations like this lol), he said that the problem is on my end and I should talk to my ISP because it is not GrubHubs problem.

    Second person I talked to claimed to be a Supervisor... although they were more helpful and not a "very unpleasant fellow" like the previous, I was told that Grub Hub themselves can never see promo codes that get entered if they are not a monetary type of promo code. However if I typed the code in correctly, it should have worked regardless of confirmation and my code will be in my inbox within the 2 weeks of my order. Today is my 14th day (2 weeks) and im waiting patiently for midnight to see if I actually get it, but I doubt I will get it at this point... I can say that regardless of the outcome, I dont think ill ever use GrubHub again after this promo fiasco. This was my second time ever ordering from them also.

    Its been almost 2 weeks since I've ordered which was on the 15th. I'm talking to them again about the situation and hoping to get my emote? otherwise what was the point in spending 40 dollars for food. Makes no sense to me

    This is why people who try grubhub never go back again and why grubhub is a financial mess. They are very close to going bankrupt and they can't even work on pleasing their customers. What's the point of not giving away an in-game emote when you piss a fanbase off so much for them to close their account? Everyone who were scammed should close their account in protest. It's like if you tell a kpop stan that they can't have the BTS meal after paying for it. You're going to feel the wrath of fangirls. You just don't do that to a community of fans who only purchase the meal for the sake of an in-game unlockable. I don't think they will do anything about it. It's best to count your losses and just badmouth grubhub to all your friends and family and have them close their accounts as well. It's better than expecting them to do anything which they won't.

    I don't know about the legalities of getting a refund if they tell you to wait 2 weeks for your promo code. On one hand, after 2 weeks you might not be able to get a refund and on the other, grubhub might refuse to give you the promo if you cancel it. If there's a lawsuit (lol) getting a refund might automatically disqualify you from taking part of it. This part of the legality stuff is beyond what I know so if anyone knows better please chime in.

    I feel like the terms and services may protect them from a lawsuit due to the last sentence, but I don't think it would protect them from chargebacks hence they they are willing to give refunds, so they can avoid people hitting them with chargebacks since that would cost them more than just refunding the order.

    I was someone who was told after the fact that my code did not apply, they could not apply after the fact, I was free to order again and try again, oh no they had run out of codes entirely, actually. I had complained to their twitter dm and emailed customer service as well, but, frankly, had given up on receiving this emote. But today, friends; A STARLIGHT MIRACLE! I received a code in my inbox, so there may still be hope after all for some of y'all as well!

    Total shitshow of a promo though. Had never used Grubhub before, will never, ever, be using Grubhub again.

    (Exactly two weeks to the date from my order date btw)

    No fooling. Food was cold and took over an hour to get to my house even though the actual restaurant is like 15 minutes away. Super expensive. So many better delivery alternatives around and they've really shown how badly they deal with this with how all over the place their customer response was.

    Alright so update on my situation... GrubHub has decided to deal with my situation through emails only now and I can no longer access Live Chat lol The email said that I could not receive the code because this was a limited amount of Emote Codes that they had in stock and I was just unlucky in not getting it due to this limited stock. Also that the reason I did not see an error message for it was because of my Browser I had chosen to use as it was not compatible with there system and I should have used the phone application instead. I never told them my browser btw. So yea, im not getting my code at all it looks like and they are fighting real hard to make sure I dont get it... I told them I want a full refund of my order back to my bank account, not as credit. So I will update as I get there response to that request.

    UPDATE 12/29: So I got a response and they said that I did place a qualifying order during the promotion and because of that they will send me the Pizza Emote code in my email "soon"... if I get it ill let you all know, if after a couple days I still dont have it ill update that they failed again.

    Last Update 12/29 Evening: I just got the Emote Code in my email and it was delivered from GrubHub into my Inbox. Went to Mog Station and the code said it was accepted... Guess Persistence has paid off and I got my code in the end. Still wont be using Grubhub in the future... but I am happy to see they actually gave me my code, even if it was stressful to get.

    That means they IP blocked you. I used to work for a short while at a major video game publisher that had live chat. When people came complaining about not getting an in-game item and getting nasty about it, we would block them from using live chat.
