Go to Rising Stones and check how the audios is there. That's my way to go spot for trying out sound whenever someone comes up with yet another "MIRACLE SOLUTION 100% GUARANTEED TO WORK" fix. Tell me how it is for you.installed the immerse spatial audio plugin - 100% fixed the problem and no popping, stuttering and so on as before... deactivating it ingame directly made the bugs return.
So basically for those affected installing the plugin could solve the issue - Downside however - general effect and soundquality lowers thanks to the plugin and it costs after trial version is over

Never claimed its a "miracle solution 100% guaranteed to work" - as I said "Could" solve the issue.
without it activated stutter and audiopops, with it activated maybe a small lagg here and there but overall a better quality. For me it's Pandaemonium 4 - if not activated the sound laggs so hard that I could not hear anything of the theme - with it activated I could hear the sound, maybe a small lagg but overall working

This is, to me, the really sad part. I've seen posts on other topics today, but nothing on any of the sound issues. Not even a "we're looking into this" post. My "cynical gamer sense" tells me there's two possibilities: there's a hotfix coming like, really friggin' soon; OR they just want to ignore this issue because they have no idea what's causing it and hope that by ignoring it then it'll go away.
EDIT: Ask and they shall appear! Thanks for at least letting us know the problem's been heard, Sicycre. ♥

Hello, everyone.
Thank you very much for your feedback concerning audio issues you’ve been experiencing.
We understand that these issues have persisted for players after Patch 6.01. In order for us to get a better understanding of the cases that have yet to be resolved, we’d like to ask for those affected to try the following:
If the previous steps do not improve the situation, we ask that you confirm the following to help determine the issue and distinguish whether it is system-related.
- Because resource requirements and other factors gradually increase with each update, reducing CPU performance load may improve the situation.
- Reduce the number of characters and objects displayed through System Configuration > Other Settings > Character and Object Display, or change the Graphics Settings to Standard.
- Close any applications that are running in the background.
- For Windows users, open the Sound Control Panel, right-click your default device in the Playback tab and open Properties, then under the Advanced tab, configure the Default Format to a lower setting.
If the steps above do not resolve your situation, we ask that you create a post in the Bug Report section using the bug report template, along with your system information and the steps taken to troubleshoot. This will assist our support team when they gather the information to share with the development team for review and investigation.
- Does the problem still occur after disabling the DirectX 11 Support option in the launcher settings?
- For gamepad users, does the problem still persist after disconnecting or changing your gamepad device?
We sincerely apologize for the frustration this has caused and appreciate your understanding.

Will give this a try when I can log in later once the queue's are down.Hello, everyone.

I'm curious if this may indeed be a bug that would have to be patched as the majority of folks, if not all, had no issues in Shadowbringers and only started having them in Endwalker, and the fact the hardware for people is so different, ranging from older hardware to even newer hardware, but still experiencing the same issues at the same frequency has me questioning things. Seeing example videos people posted, despite having different hardware, the crackling is the same amount in the same situations. Not better, not worst.
Like I told others, back when the game Halo had its Master Chief Collection released on PC it only had "Halo: Reach" available... but people experienced glitchy audio all over the place, even with top of the line computers.
This video really showcases it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_O0SsP0rik and I'm very much reminded of it here.
However, 343 didn't fix it until almost a year later... and so that is what has me worried. If it is indeed an issue with the new audio on some PCs, perhaps a compatibility issue, if a fix does occur... would it take months?
I did a trial where it was so bad it was physically hurting my ears to listen to and I had to pull my headphones off my head.

Yeah the problem has been heard after 20 days of silence. Imagine when they are gonna release a fix if they JUST NOW started researching the issue - if they even end up succeeding. For now enjoy having to play through the game in silence, I'm sure that's gonna help you get invested in the story of it.

While this isn't solid confirmation, I have been fairly confident that this new "feature" has been at the root of the problems. I really don't want to have to buy some software just to play the game with sound on again. :<installed the immerse spatial audio plugin - 100% fixed the problem and no popping, stuttering and so on as before... deactivating it ingame directly made the bugs return.

The problem is really that they -were- working on a fix. They thought that the changes they implemented with 6.01 would fix the problem. Unfortunately, the changes just made it all worse. So, so much worse...Yeah the problem has been heard after 20 days of silence. Plus, we're running into the whole Endwalker launch server issues, the holiday weekend coming up which means short-staffing issues, and all of that. It's going to be a not-fun time for a couple weeks yet, I imagine.
At least it has been heard of and it will be addressed. You are very much skeptical, and I do understand, but you are very much underestimating Square... You are free to take a break if its really bothering you and come back laterYeah the problem has been heard after 20 days of silence. To follow up on my previous post. I played for a few hours after reducing in game fps to 15. It brought my issues more in line with what others have described. Fps drops are almost non existent but I still hear the audio stuttering. Having the camera face my toons back starts the stuttering. Keeping the mob between the camera and my character stops the stuttering. I also have listening position and all other audio settings at 100. Was able to do quite a bit of msq with almost no issue. Hopefully this will help others with the fps drops.
