Changing shadowbringers into a weaponskill is a suggestion brought up quite often on the jp forums as well and I agree. During the job action trailer it had the visual effect of executing a gcd but it was either a mistake or SE decided to make it an ogcd instead before the media tour.
This is something I've felt since ShB which is the potency of edge of shadow being way too high. It was 500 in 5.0 which made it our second hardest hitting attack, 400 during the media tour, and 460 right now. I feel like at most it should be 300 and move the potency somewhere else so using TBN wouldn't feel like it's taking our dps as hostage.
Salted earth was absolutely garbage in 5.0 when it's cd double and potency nerfed. Now it's actually worth pressing thanks to salt and darkness but being on a 90 second cd really makes it feel not as impactful during fights. If edge's potency is reduced than I think making salted earth a 45s cd, with salt and darkness potency reduced to 250, would make feel much better to use and align with raid buffs more.
Dark mind should have upgraded into oblation and I have no idea why they decided an extra 10% mitigation is worth making a whole separate ability. Oblation should be a targetable 15% damage reduction and grants an additional 15% magic mitigation to self. Having a targetable 30% mitigation against magic damage on top of TBN being targetable might make drk too strong of an off tank so the 15% magic reduction would only be granted to the drk.
During the interviews after the media tour, Yoshi-p stated that they didn't make blood weapon into stacks because they didn't want every ability to be the same which is a fair point but there are so many other ways to fix this ability besides making it stacks. Like, I don't know, the original blood weapon that gave haste? It doesn't even need to be that significate just 5% reduction to all gcds would be enough for most players to hit 5 gcds regularly under the duration as well as nullifying the recast time issue of our aoe spells.
