Go ahead and convince your boss (assuming you are working at all) that you want to stop sales in Christmas period and pretty much offer free login for 21 days to all players across the globe.

There is much more to a patch especially this early on in the expansion than just the hardcore content fights, and delaying any or all of that could cause havoc for the foreseeable future.

Beyond which, rolling back the codebase and making their 2002 fix, then rolling that out separately would probably be a dev-ops headache, doubly so since the last announcement noted they repurposed a lot of their dev-test hardware for the various data-centers as login servers; they don't have a good way to test a rollout on-site any longer, so likely need to be doubly cautious right now when pushing to production.

There are no such things as people worshipping him like you describe, that's ridiculous. But showing a little appreciation can go a long way for the dev and community.
Instead of cussing blindly at any opportunities and hide behind "this greedy company just want our money, I wish this game is free to play".

Every field of industry right now requires this little chip to function: car, phone, computer, and even your local traffic light system.
The shortage starts in 2019 due to US-China trade war and Covid 19.
I suggest you to pay attention to news or what happened around you, even you claims yourself a gamer.

Every company did their forecast and they do have plan for expansion: new dataceter and server hardware upgrade.
They certainly did not expect a mass WoW exodus isn't it.
I mean, WoW community usually call use FF14 players as weebies.

This type of project requires more than 6 months because it is not something you can buy off Amazon and install it yourself.
