I would not want some randoms trying to rope me into their RP either, I only RP with friends as well for funsies from time to time. Idk why they had to try and drag complete strangers into their roleplay. To talk in character in the party chat with your friend sure, its whatever, just don't involve me in it.
People being really rude in this thread, the OP knows they didn't say anything and that if they had most likely they would have stopped. They are just asking for a little forethought from RP'ers before they try and pull complete strangers into their RP, people are responsible for themselves but it won't kill you to be a little considerate. Why you would feel the need to rope in randoms to your RP idk. It comes with the assumption that whomever you are trying to drag into it is ok with it and an assumption of consent is never a good thing xD

People are not psychic. If you don't say anything how will they know you don't want to be involved? This is an MMORPG therefore it can attract real social butterflies and they shouldn't be made to feel discouraged for it. Not everyone is socially anxious in game which I'm surprised that's even a thing considering I'm talkative online but painfully shy in real life but I digress. Social people should not be forced into being quiet; shy people should just pucker up and say something. For all we know, the RP'ers the OP referred to were most likely just trying to make new friends. MMORPG's are not single player games and shouldn't be treated as such, if you want to be left alone, literally just type 'Hey, sorry I don't feel like talking. Just want to play' took me barely 5 seconds to write that.
