Absolutely.
Absolutely.
I don’t really see the comparison here, Savage is one of the few strictly co-op things in this game, whereas crafting and normal mode can be done by yourself or with a group of randos. I will end up with Tomestones and recipes and scrips eventually, no matter when I actually get to start playing again. Savage raids do require some level of outside communication to really be successful. Just my opinion tho. Then they have to delay tomestones and new crafting recipes, and that affects far more players than the handful of world first teams. And what about normal mode? Do they just let everyone farm a full set before savage by releasing it 10 days from now, or does that get delayed too? Honestly I don't see the point. Just release as planned and let the 100-200 world first raiders figure it out.
I wasn't making a comparison. They release crafted gear together with savage, and they release weekly capped tomestones and tome gear with savage. Must be related to gear progression and power levels somehow.I don’t really see the comparison here, Savage is one of the few strictly co-op things in this game, whereas crafting and normal mode can be done by yourself or with a group of randos. So I'm asking, if savage gets delayed, when do we get new tomestones and crafted gear? Are millions of players going to have to wait for longer to get those just because statics can't decide amongst themselves that they will delay their own raid schedule?

it's funny how many people in this thread have clearly never done week 1 raid prog in their life but are telling week 1 raiders how they should feel or how they should play
I do week 1 pugging and usually clear the tier within the first 2 weeks in PF alone, assuming enough people make it to the 4th savage by then. So yes, you can grab a pug to replace and go at it or you can delay your raid day and not be "world first". It sucks, but that doesn't mean they should delay it for millions in game because people need to sit through 3-4k queues.
Also I have yet to see one comment address the fact of how delaying the raid stops the queues from appearing to begin with. Especially with alot of the commmunity likely jumping into raiding too this time around (considering the playerbase boom and WoW Raiders), the odds are that queues will still exist. People need to take a second and meditate on the fact that this is the new norm for the foreseeable future until they upgrade their infrastructure which is likely not happening for quite some time, otherwise they would have done it by now. If they had options on the horizon which would alleviate the queues substantially, I can guarantee they would have announced it by now less than 3 weeks before the raids due release. Delaying is inviting additional scrutiny for ZERO payoff. Your best bet, is literally to raid during off peak, join the game as early as possible or pray the base dies off enough to shorten the queues by then (doubt it).

A further delay would be in line with their reasoning for the two- and four-week delay that we always have in a new expansion, I think.
They've said before that they want people to be able to have some time to enjoy the story and not feel pressured to skip ahead and join people in raids right out of the gate. So it stands to reason that if some of that same group of people haven't been able to log on to get through that story in that established timeframe, that timeframe should be extended so that it works for them as intended.
I don't think that will really help with anything else people have been mentioning, like if someone gets disconnected during a raid and can't get back in, since we're likely in for a rather lengthy period of login problems. I just think a further delay makes sense with the reasoning the dev team has given us for the baseline delay for raids before.
I mean, probably.I wasn't making a comparison. They release crafted gear together with savage, and they release weekly capped tomestones and tome gear with savage. Must be related to gear progression and power levels somehow.

It's inconvenient, sure, but if they are linked at the hip, I think the dev team will probably prioritize making the savage content a guaranteed good experience over tomestones and gear. Like, this situation isn't magically getting better, so there is a chance they don't delay tomestones at the very least, but I wouldn't be surprised if they chose to do everything they can to make sure statics can play Savage raids without worrying about DCs over crafting armor and tomestones.
It's definitely a conundrum and I'd choose the armor and tomestones over savage personally, but the situation the team is in is kinda unprecedented.
Yep and not everyone who raids has the luxury of not working and can sign in whenever they like. Many people actively take time off to do world first prog so having huge queues kind hampers the race part of it.
Well, delaying Savage for months probably isnt an option.
Queues likely will go down some after the expansion rush, but true fixes won't happen until hardware can be acquired, which won't be any time soon.
