The GrubHub promo problems

My wife placed an order this afternoon, code appeared to go through but once we got the order we looked at the receipt and it didn't mention anything about the promo. Decided to call CS, the CS rep had no clue about this promo. They talked to their manager I guess, and then came back saying that they ran out of codes and then as an apology said she'd give me a refund. Still not sure if I'm getting the emote or not I DMed the Grubhub twitter asking them to confirm my order and if I'm getting the emote. They said the the free delivery promo ran out but I should still get my emote. Searched around twitter and someone else got GrubHub telling them you had to order pizza (not any other food??) to count. What is going on? Can we please get a clear response on this?

No confirmation that the promo was used on any of my receipts. I got ahold of GH customer service. They told me the code was not applied to my order and gave me a $5 refund.

I'm not ordering again. Guess only 20k people get the emote.

You have to order using the mobile app. I have no clue why.

The Lodestone specifically mentions you have to order on the app. Though, with how this promotion has been so far, it would not surprise me if that was not the case.

I just wanted my goddamn Pizza Emote. The Big Mac wasn't even that good....
