The situation is beyond redemption. The free days that SE gave are nothing. The expansion should have been delayed until they have made more servers, not only to 7 december.

They knew that this would happen, but they choose to release it anyway.

It's a shame, and it seems that SE Fanboys here cant understand.

Oceania servers were ordered last year in spring and will only be delivered in 2022... So at this rate we would be playing Endwalker in 2024

I can only play on the weekends since those are the only days I have off of work. Only then because I can log in early in the morning when there is barely a queue. Issue is I then can't log out because I can get back in again if I do.

I recommend everyone stop trying to play it when I get home from work that way I can actually log in.

No matter how much we moan, Square Enix are having to cope with the huge number of new players who have been flocking to FFXIV from WoW recently. An unprecedented happening in extraordinary numbers. Give them time to work on it for us. Patience and kindness is everything right now.

Does any of the complains make the qeue go faster or make the errors disappear? ......nope it doesn't .
It sucks and and we need to deal with it.

I am sure SE does its best and I don't believe there is a simple solution.

Logged in early, only 500 in queue, place 20 after 30min - 4004 error.
Reconnect, 1200 queue, 4004 error after 5min again.
Then like 5-10 x 2002 error, can't get past lobby server.
Switched to Japanese VPN, get past lobby server, 2000 queue now.
Thanks SE, it is totally a hardware issue, right... it is definitely not the servers setup that can't even work properly with just a 500 people queue.

Edit: We have confirmed an issue where during the process of admitting these 100 players, if certain conditions coincide in combination while the servers are experiencing extremely high loads, up to 25 of these players will receive an error.


So 1 in 4 got kicked under those conditions, if the queue works as intended people wont complain as much anymore

And you are suggesting other people then you have no life ? no work ? etc.

The qeue is a problem but the game itself once you are in, is perfect. ..no hickups...no errors....awesome gameplay,...good story... so it's good they released it

Apparently you HAVE NOT been reading this post comment for comment. There are a shit ton of selfish people in here. Almost to the point where I thought for a moment I was reading a post from the World of Warcraft site. His point is very very valid. Take for example me; I posted about my tight schedule and time for work, gym, and leisure time. It was suggested I flip my time around and instead of doing gym at this time, I should play. Well going to the gym at 3 A.M was set that way so that I am not cuddling up to a ton of people around me that could possibly have Covid. My picture is larger then me, I am being careful so that I don't bring Covid home to mom as I take care of her. So going to the gym at 5 P.M is completely out of the question. So my main point I said about Square-Enix getting there shit together still stands. It makes no sense to release a New Expansion and people can hardly ever log in to it to play...Well hard for us working folks to log in. Does that don't work can log in and pay all damn day. Kudos to them.

I feel you OP, unlike most of the SE Fanboys here. I arrived home from my 12 hour shift at the hospital's pharmacy and see that the fanboys keep insisting on every thread that the queues are fine and that there are no errors and this is the best launch ever, and I log in to this



For a company that loves to throw covid around as an excuse so nilly willy they certainly are not doing much to help us alleviate the stress after a long day at work

Fangirl... but I get what you are saying. I, too, work at a hospital overnight and been trying to get 4 hrs of sleep just to get online to the game to even try to play my free preorder time. Needless to say, didn't work too well. Wish they planned this a bit more.
