All of this 100%, they took money off thousands people for a game they knew they couldn't provide.Same here OP.
The guy sells a game for 2 persons to 10 people and than try to put himself in the position of a victim (he couldn't know it would be successful as if he couldn't know the number of CD key sold and point the semi conductor shortage).
Following that logic, they could have put all this advertisement money on the server infrastructure, couldn't they?
They took our payment knowing they couldn't provide, period, and now they have our money, I hope they will provide and show humility.
We shouldn't be charged for a game we can't play when we want to play it.
EDIT : I came from work 90 minutes ago, I have been disconnected 3 times from queue already and everytime I had to try to reconnect multiple time, and everytime to number of people in line was greater, from 3k 90minutes ago, now I am at 6k before I can join the game. Yea, that does make a lot of sense. So this game is be to finances by everyone for the few that doesn't work in the morning or can work from home so they can babysit their computer all day and never disconnect?
World Login Errors and Resolutions - Naoki Yoshida
We resolved nothing and we are not to blame. Be compassionnate since we are so successful.
People are dumb, like seriously? You are acting like SE scammed everyone, because every other launch was better. Are you kidding me? Games have bad launches and hate to tell you but it was a bad situation.
Take it back last year for a real life situation when half the country froze alot of people lost power because so many states were not prepared for it, because it never happened before. After Katrina my town decided to change out all the powerpoles with giant cement ones to try and prevent mass power outage in light of another disaster.
My point is FF14 was suddenly hit with massive influx of players that has never really happened to several year old MMO in a short amount of time before a expansion drop . So of course they werent quite as well prepared, so what you can do is calm down, and stop whining. It's not the end of The World. The world keeps moving and everything will fall back into place eventually. Everygame goes through this. Don't revert to acting like you're 12 because it's not exactly how you want.
This is a question for all the forum experts here; a serious one, please be kind.
Aren't bots actually a reasonable factor for world congestion?
I was wondering if they aren't occupying space in the worlds.
Also what about trial accounts?
Why not just simply disable the feature until the congestion has cooled off?
Bots likely do have some impact since they're attempting to log in as well. I don't know the numbers of them in any way, but I assume the overall fraction of "players" that are bots is small. Even though they'll be active the entire time they're in the game, I don't see them having a mathematically significant impact on concurrent player use of the servers. This is a question for all the forum experts here; a serious one, please be kind.

My understanding of the other situation is paying subscribers get preference over free trial players when logging in. With the volume of subscribers trying to get in, I wouldn't be surprised if free trial players are SOL and can't get in at all.
Came back home for lunch and logged in with only 30 ppl in Q. Now back form work and I could really chill out in game, but 3k+ Q. ;w;
Guess I'm gonna go drink that bottle of wine instead...
We're all facing this issue. I just crashed at log in after waiting in a 3k queue
Be patient a bit and everything will get back to normal
