    Enough is enough

    Once again, I get down to number 1 in the queue, sit there for 10 minutes, then get 4004ed. Immediately log back in and am 7,368 in queue.

    This is far beyond simple congestion. It's broken, and doesn't work at all. And the worst part is the absolute silence on this. At least acknowledge that your queue servers don't work for crap.

    It just boggles my mind that after all these years we still have these 'mysterious' errors with no explanation and a queue system that is just flat out wonky and doesn't work at all.

    Since you seem to lack in reading comprehension...

    One of the errors has been explained (2002) and even then their explanation doesn't hold water.

    The queue system doesn't work at all. If it did, then I'd wait my turn and get into the game when it was my turn. Not get booted and have to start over numerous times. The fact that you could say it works just proves ..well..things about you I won't say on this public forum.

    Free subscription days doesn't make up for what is happening. It's easy to kick people when they're down when you're getting to enjoy the game, also says a lot of things about you. If you had to sit through queue for 6-12 hours only to not get in, you'd be singing a different tune.

    Explained doesn't mean solved. At my job we say: "excuses only make mistakes worse" idk if it has a proper translation to english. But is quite clear i think.
    Apologies won't do either, in the very same vein.

    Free days are not equal to "these days", many got arround work and schedules for "this time right now". Is a nice gesture, but is not a compensation and much less of a solution.
    If only the universe was reduced to you But the service is world wide, for (and don't be scared) o t h e r s than yourself. There is clearly a problem with the servers and not an unknown and more to SE fault unpreventable. We called them on having to sustancially improve servers. It is clear that they didn't.

    Being 9:30 in my country, and after 7 hours of being home, im not able to play for the second day straight.
    People is more than justified to be pissed and vocal about it.

    This statement is quite irksome. Simply because it’s obvious you don’t really care about the fact that many other players are still sitting in 3,000 to 4,000+ queues, and have been for hours since last Friday.     I spent over 3 hours today in a queue. I 2002’d 13 times during that. One of my friends was stuck in queue for 2-3 hours every day this past weekend. Two more have been in 6,000+ queues the last two days. One just gave up Saturday afternoon because they kept crashing and the queue kept getting longer. I had better luck getting in super early East Coast time, but Sunday I logged in at 9am and was in a queue for 2 hours. If you are trying to log into the game any time during Prime Time hours, then you might as well give up unless you can stay up all night to play. For people who work 9-to-5 jobs, that isn’t feasible.

    I don’t normally mind queuing. Did it for 2 expansions so far. But the issues arise with the constant 2002 errors that you practically need to babysit the game for. It’s not as if you can get up and do other stuff around the house with the current situation. You need to relaunch as soon as possible to hopefully not be further back in the line than you were previously. And that’s a problem. SB and ShB launches didn’t have the issue with 2002s. And yeah, you can argue the game grew since then—but it’s still a very poor argument to try and excuse the current state of things.

    Explanation provided or not, this is by far the worse expansion launch in terms of the amount of errors players have dealt with. Even SB with its instanced servers issue was still better since at least you could get into the game without all the lobby server errors even if you did have to wait in a queue. These issues always happen around launches, so it’s to be expected to have some wait times—but this is insane. All I can hope is that, when hardware is more readily available, they look into upgrading the lobby servers to handle this better. Because if the game continues to grow, then it will only get worse.

    been in queue for 4 hours now, keep getting error 2002, kicked back further in queue upon retry. these servers are run by hampsters

    Yeah, this is ridiculous. Sat for nearly three hours yesterday being unable to even join the queue and wasting my entire evening after work and now today after sitting for two hours in queue, twice getting kicked back a few thousand spots thanks to errors, I now can't even rejoin the queue after the latest error. I've played enough MMOs and expansion releases over the years to know being patient is something we need to be but when you aren't able to play because you are being booted out of the queue or are not even being able to join the login queue in the first place while trying for hours it is not a matter of patience but the game company needing to get their software/hardware up to par and "free" game time doesn't really even out for the time and frustration generated to customers in these sorts of situations.

    I feel you OP, unlike most of the SE Fanboys here. I arrived home from my 12 hour shift at the hospital's pharmacy and see that the fanboys keep insisting on every thread that the queues are fine and that there are no errors and this is the best launch ever, and I log in to this



    For a company that loves to throw covid around as an excuse so nilly willy they certainly are not doing much to help us alleviate the stress after a long day at work
