What you ask is going a full 180° to create a job based on non-FF ressources.

A Blacksmith doing less blacksmithing and more gardening?
Disagree we need to waste a job slot on a gunner, but agree that MCH needs more gunner appeal, why do you think so many people are suggesting “Scout, Musketeer, Ranger” as legit job suggestions.

MCH mains and I since SHB have never agreed on much, but at the very least can we all agree MCH needs more unique gadgets? MCH has barely any distinct between other jobs as all of its machinery are GCDs, ya know like Fleche, Sixt, Assasinate, Carve and Spit, Blasting zone, Jump(s), Tornado Kick, ect it’s hardly unique. WF is its most iconic skill and half the time MCH mains look at me dead on and say “it’s fine” Turrets might as well not exist for how little you interact with it and givin SMN current reduction of thought with its summons no longer having interplay, I don’t think this will ever not be the case. Laughably adding Crown Colider which the player itself doesn’t have to do anything so it’s a invisible skill. But MCH has so much elbow room for growth and they are still just adding tacked on GCD after GCD which adds fat but doesn’t add flavor. It needs more gunner skills, it needs more nuisances gadgets.

But again seeing SMN has shown me my fear of all jobs surpassing it is rather low…it’s all jobs being influenced by MCH ramshackle appeal is starting to concern me, is BLM next? BRD? Will Melee suffer to be reduced to this level? Only time will tell
