    What you ask is going a full 180° to create a job based on non-FF ressources.

    A Blacksmith doing less blacksmithing and more gardening?
    Disagree we need to waste a job slot on a gunner, but agree that MCH needs more gunner appeal, why do you think so many people are suggesting “Scout, Musketeer, Ranger” as legit job suggestions.

    MCH mains and I since SHB have never agreed on much, but at the very least can we all agree MCH needs more unique gadgets? MCH has barely any distinct between other jobs as all of its machinery are GCDs, ya know like Fleche, Sixt, Assasinate, Carve and Spit, Blasting zone, Jump(s), Tornado Kick, ect it’s hardly unique. WF is its most iconic skill and half the time MCH mains look at me dead on and say “it’s fine” Turrets might as well not exist for how little you interact with it and givin SMN current reduction of thought with its summons no longer having interplay, I don’t think this will ever not be the case. Laughably adding Crown Colider which the player itself doesn’t have to do anything so it’s a invisible skill. But MCH has so much elbow room for growth and they are still just adding tacked on GCD after GCD which adds fat but doesn’t add flavor. It needs more gunner skills, it needs more nuisances gadgets.

    But again seeing SMN has shown me my fear of all jobs surpassing it is rather low…it’s all jobs being influenced by MCH ramshackle appeal is starting to concern me, is BLM next? BRD? Will Melee suffer to be reduced to this level? Only time will tell

    Yes you are right it needs more guns, that's why i wish yoshi p to like add more modern firepower, like a skill that uses machine gun rifle since spreadshot got remove for a shotgun, Missiles or a gatling gun, OR he can just look at Laguna's gameplay from Dissidia i mean come on is right there I AM TIRED of much machinery.....

    Then Lost Ark has the Gun classes we need in FF14 dang it

    It's a small thing but considering all the gadgets and guns we have nowadays it looks pretty damn hilarious to see a flamethrower come out of a little dinky pistol, like, we can't get a gun for that as well? It's the small stuff that just makes this job feel like an afterthought.

    I'll be forever dreaming about the MCH using the Aetherolyser like an actual flamethrower, replacing your 1 2 3 with flamethrower GCD for a short period of time, blazing whatever is in front of you.
    They did it with reaper, might happen to other jobs!

    Only use Flamethrower in conjunction with Bioblaster IMO.

    Flamethrower really needs to generate heat makes little sense not to.

    Honestly if I had my choice I would replace the overheat mechanic with a guns akimbo/ffx2 Yuna trigger happy moment where the much pulls out two pistols and just unloads a hail of bullets in a channel styled attack (that still though allows movement). How they would accomplish that while still accounting for ping would probably be hard as hell. I would guess it would need to be similar to current Heat Blast spam just sped up without the oGCD's. That or maybe similar to Dancers step mechanic, where prompts show up replacing MCH's GCD's, but instead of having to do a set 4 with a finisher its more of a set combo that is done faster then the normal GCD combo.

    I'm sure half the MCH community would probably hate it, and this is why I'm not a game designer lol. I just want Trigger Happy in this game.

    Wow, are you trying to give them ideas when they finally ran out of what edgar's kit have in 10.0?

    More seriously: I wouldnt mind having a 2 gcd worth of "channel", even if I can't move, as a dump, outside of my 2 min burst, to reduce that heatblast spam.
    And the set combo thing was what the old mch was ngl: there were 6 gcd to use in 10 seconds, and it was something like: heatblast (yes i know the old name is cooldown) - heated shot - heated shot - heated shot - heat blast - heat blast. The 3 heated shots were depending of which procs you had but it was pretty self forward.

    After looking to Mr. Happy's video with the Media Tour version of MCH, I can now say that I'm slightly disappointed... Not because It's in a bad situation and didn't get a fix, because for me MCH works perfectly now. I'm let down because it didn't get anything interesting... at all.

    1) Chainsaw... Good that we have more machinery! I'm on the team that MCH should be more of that for its special skills and the guns for the spammable fillers, but why this had to be (considering just single target usage) just a copy of Air Anchor? For all that matters (damage and battery gains), Air Anchor could get just a trait upgrade to add a second charge and the AoE complement and it would net the same effect with 1 less button.

    2) Reassemble charge: This one is actually something I'm looking forward to. Flexibility with that extra charge will do great.

    3) Automaton Queen: I guess wanting more interactability with pets is something XIV is not good at it seems... Said that I wish we had an "aoe mode". I guess timing the finisher with Trick Attack window is something to look forward to?

    4) Scatter gun: Nothing special for an upgrade - however I welcome a lot, as the animation looks cool for a spammable action and makes much more sense that the "machine gun" thing going on with Spread shot; might be me but I think it's weird seeing a MCH weapon firing like that. I wish it had its own prop like the shotgun will, or the low level aoe action was something like a grenade launcher.

    Overall I'm very happy with the presentation of the job, ever since ShB it feels truly like a machinist rather than just a gunner with the occasional contraption... However, I was expecting more with EW regarding the way the job works.

    The tools could have more interactability as opposed of just being copies of each other with different animations.

    Heat blast could receive a combo action maybe? Perhaps something that leads to Chainsaw?

    Bio Blaster could combo Flamethrower for more damage or a stronger dot? Makes sense that the bio blaster smog being flammable...

    Ammo could make a return working similarly to Fourfold Feathers - being the "ammo" for either Gauss Round / Ricochet. Reload as well, interacting with this to have on demand ammo.

    MCH come EW is probably the same feeling that RDM had from SB to ShB... It's 90% the same.

    From now on ima make this the megathread, but all of MCH issues have been addressed and EW added so few skills to MCH that people will just end up recycling the same old thing, or complain Crown is useless and confusing that they added a ghost skill.
