I mean, we see the suggestion to have mostly viable endgame class (or alt-job) variants... what... at least thrice per month? When Bard seems increasingly converted to an Arcane Archer and there's no way to actually experience a more core Gunner experience otherwise, etc., you can see why.

And yes, I'd second that wish, albeit likely as a Corsair.

Right. It's probably better that the job is going whole hog in its machine-centric direction. But it has thereby left a niche formerly well filled as, now, utterly absent (despite having many veteran fans).
