    Summoner minor feedback

    So unlike a few, I actually enjoy the new summoner. It doesn't feel dumbed down, and the rotation is a lot more fun. Now I actually use all my summons, and the summons themselves feel more like traditional Final Fantasy rather than say a World of Warcraft Hunter.

    That being said, one thing I would like to see is a change to Gemshine and Precious Brilliance. As it stands right now I run out of keys going through my rotations, and thus I had to make a Macro that throws Gemshine over Ruin and Precious Brilliance over Outburst/Tridisaster. As we all know, macros have input lag bad and i tend to accidentally cast the underpowered versions instead of X Ruin/X Outburst. I feel the flow would go so much better if Gemshine and Precious Brilliance were just things that REPLACE Ruin/Outburst instead of being separate spells.

    That is literally my only complaint. Well, sorta. I would cut off my left foot to get a Ramuh-Egi or Shiva-Egi buuuut LOL

    Replacing the Ruin and Tri-Disaster keys in order to free up space for more abilities sounds sensible, maybe Blood Pact: Rage/Ward from FFXI or one-off summons. Ramuh egi does have a model in game to my knowledge but at this point...maybe lets just skip to full summons. Seeing as how Phoenix is another person-turned primal like Shiva, I don't see any good reason to not add her in the future.

    You know you can add more action bars AND use modifiers on your key binds right..?

    Regardless of OP's reason, they aren't wrong... Gemshine and Precious Brilliance serve the same function as Ruin/Astral Impulse/Fountain of Fire and Outburst/Astral Flare/Brand of Purgatory.

    I have yet to run into a situation where you would chose to cast Ruin instead of a Gemshine when it's active with a Rite. Has anyone else? I haven't run any low level stuff on summoner so perhaps there is a reason for their choice in this earlier on?

    So while button bloat is a poor reason to fuse the buttons, they may as well, since well... they're basically the same buttons, why not. Keeping them separate doesn't help make the class more complex, it just adds the illusion of more complexity.

    I'd say letting us access it just to Egi Glamour our Carbuncle would be ideal, though I don't know if they'd need to add more animations or not. Given all our Carbuncle has left to do, probably not.

    If you're in Ifrit and need a slightly shorter cast time, but you only have room for 1 maybe 2 Ruins per minute sooo lol. And it's not like delaying Rites for an AST card buff is a thing. Afaik it's just so you're not hitting the same two buttons as much.

    If you are a controller player, I just put all my single target skills on my first hotbar and my aoe skills on my second hotbar. There's never really a need to have both on the same hotbar. This should help you if button bloat is a issue for you. It also allows you to add role actions to your first and second hotbar.
