You've got a good point, no reason to hijack a thread's original purpose only because it has the most eyes on it. I was out of turn. I'm cool with coasting as is.This was never really intended to be that thread, though. Shin was curious what the community thought about X, and asked relevant questions accordingly. You're more than welcome to take what's been presented, and maybe slightly polished, through discourse here and present your own survey or summary of those issues.
Also, historically, the more unified, polished, and liked (especially in a single form) our suggestions become, the greater the chance of the thread becoming locked... Hopefully that's only due to a very tangential relationship.
No worries. It's a damn good post to be made. It just likely deserves its own thread.
That and, I could have sworn Lyth already made it...
Edit:
So, it's not quite a match, but Lyth's post fits a similar purpose of outlining potential solutions for fairly commonly listed issues, even if those particular solutions are a bit more original/idiosyncratic, rather than merely what's been sifted through the community as more or less objectively good ideas.
There is certainly still room for a more firmly community-driven address of issues.
I don't think anyone would argue with the issues you earlier mentioned -- "2.5 Spell GCD, Blood Weapon jank, 123 spam, reliance on MP ticks, TBN being the only thing supporting the job and the like" -- save for perhaps the "reliance on MP ticks" being irrelevant except in its slight devaluation of Skill Speed, so I will only add to that "a lack of events to play towards and/or look forward to between 60s burst periods".

add "A lack of gameplay excitement from 68 on when Delirium is obtained." Cuz lets be honest Stalwart Soul is less "oh wow I get to do cool thing now!" and more "wow I'm finally on par with the other tank's who've had 32 levels by that time of a more full aoe rotation. No worries. It's a damn good post to be made. It just likely deserves its own thread.

and add abyssal drain being garbage self-sustain and DRK's overall lack of sustain just because TBN shields for so much. Like I get it, abyssal drain'd be hard to code to work as an analogue to anything the other tanks have. But... even a charge system or heavens at least a shorter recast of 30 seconds? literally anything to improve DRK's sustain. Because the whole "well it's 3rd GCD action is a heal!" is garbage IMO.

the lack of foresight from the devs to not move skills like stalwart or missionary, the new dark shield skill (why is that lv 80+?) could have been our baby tbn that upgrades, the lack of a new mana or darkside spender, lack of blood weapon fixes are the reason some of us are choosing to put the greatsword down permanently. hell, they could have reworked abyss drain back into a spender that has the whole "x potency on first enemy, x% less on remaining". like they literally have the means to do so, theyve done it to other abilities like stardiver, polyglot or maybe future abilities that we will see after the embargo, but hey.
there wasn't much we could do with sch/drk

RPR stole our proposed gap closer.
Every expansion when they release new actions for DRK, I never end up feeling like the job is complete. Stormblood brought in Bloodspiller/Quietus, and there was this sense that we were just waiting on some big burst window to use them in to be released in a future expansion. Living Shadow showed up in Shadowbringers and it felt like we were heading towards some big finisher which rewarded you for what you did while it was active. It feels like we keep seeing new things added but there's nothing that ties these elements together. I had suggested either Shadowbringer or Omnislash as some sort of Wildfire styled way to let you truncate LS during phase changes.
It's strange because if I look at RPR in comparison, it looks like a complete finished product in its entirety. I'm not left wondering if we'll get the actions we need next expansion to round off its kit.

You mean Dark Passenger without its blind effect?
So once again they removed a skill to only give it back as a neutered form..
An of course Reaper seems finished.. the devs actually like playing DPS and they don't have to force them to update the classes like they do with Healer an Tanks
