    That's quite a strawman you've got there.
    There are more companies you deal with than games.
    I've had subscriptions that I forgot to cancel and wasn't using the service. I've had items I needed to return because they're defective. I've lost things in games due to bugs. Etc. I've never had an account compromised before, because nothing else I've used as security this bad.
    Well, if you have the one time password set up, that bypasses the account lock from logging in on a different device... and if you fell for the phishing scam... you gave them your one time password.... so.... yeah...
