    How many people do you know who no longer buy from Mogstation due to Support Center?

    I myself know a couple, and have my own experience now.

    My account was compromised 7 days ago, 114+ million gil was stolen, and in the past 6 days I've asked 3 times "when will the rollback date be?" since I don't want to lose a ton of progress and it might be better for me to not rollback.
    Still no answer on that. At this point it seems like support might even be ignoring me since it's been over 48hr since the last correspondance.

    I tried messaging GMs 3 times as well to get support from them, since I know GMs are supposed to be able to recover gil or items that are lost.
    GMs keep responding "this falls out of the scope of currently offered GM services. We have determined that your concern can be best handled by our Support Center team."
    Which okay, fair enough, if Support Center was actually handling it.

    The dumbest part is that I was planning to buy from Mogstation on this last day of the sale, but now I just never want to buy from Mogstation again since I can get screwed over by poor support like this.

    Support Center acts like they're personally saving Square money by doing a bad job and not helping customers in a while that surely winds up costing loss sales for far more money instead.
    I already knew one person who, while they're addicted to the game and community and they still subscribe, they just do the minimum to play and won't buy from Mogstation anymore after they were banned because their account was hacked. Instead of recovering his account, they banned him.
    Then there is a friend who was allowed to buy something from the Mogstation that they already had but forgot they had. Now they have this useless item they can't redeem because they already have it, and support repeatedly refuses to give it to one of their other characters instead. So now they won't buy from Mogstation again. For something that should have been resolved by support in a day when they see they wasted money on a useless item they can't redeem on the character, and which never should have happened if Mogstation worked correctly.

    There's really no excuse for support being this bad.

    When my account first got compromised I wasn't even that upset about it initially since my experience with other companies' support made me assume that everything would be straightened out and would be fine in a few days at most. Now it's been 7 days and it's not close to resolved and doesn't look like it'll ever be resolved in a satisfactory manner.

    ffxiv support center is one of the worst i've ever seen, most of the time they take from 1 week to 2 weeks to reply and god knows how many to finally help you with your problem, when my account was compromised it took them 1 month to help me...

    also the chat support is completely useless they are unable to help you most of the time because they do not have the necessary tools to do so

    this never happened to me in WoW they always helped me almost instantly and the chat support can help you with ANYTHING

    I've had friends that played WoW quit WoW due to their support simply because yes their chat support will tell you they can help with anything however they never actually fixed the issues they were experiencing. In the end it just made the experience more sour because it left the impression of being deliberately lied to.

    Well, considering there's probably a large amount of you falling for phishing scams, and the requests likely go back to Tokyo to be restored from backups, it's probably understandable that it'll take a while.

    Maybe use this time as a lesson to be more careful with where you put your account information.

    It can take awhile for a rollback from what I've heard, perhaps even a couple of months. All you can really do is be patient, and think about how to not let your account get compromised. Normally I'd advise ignoring the rollback and re-earning that gil but...that amount is nothing to sneeze at. It'd be painful but I'd probably wait it out too. As far as my own experiences with customer support go, my needs and interactions have been few, but when I actually have needed their help with something they have been wonderful. I know some people who don't like the cash shop, but they have had 0 account issues that I'm aware of.

    The Blizzard live support is pretty great, both by phone or the live customer support chat. The personal GM calls in game usually go pretty well too. They are super friendly. The automated support...not so much. I'd give that a 1.5/10.

    It was always like this, I know it's hard to believe when most people have the WoW bad FFXIV good mentality.

    That was my experience with both support centers, I've been playing WoW for 10 years and FFXIV since 2.0 (2013).

    Yeah, I should have added a /s, I guess. It was funny in a "never seen that said before," kind of way.

    My personal experience with Blizz' support over 15 years of playing is 9.5/10, in fact I still spend some free time in their support forums, helping out and occasionally defending against unsubstantiated vitriol that gets thrown at their support staff, and I don't even have a Blizzard game installed on my PC anymore, let alone have any paid accounts.

    I have zero experience with SE support, but I rarely (relative to other gaming forums) read bad things about them.

    My joke was based off public perception; I've never seen a person publicly declare that Blizz' support is great, and in the same post decry SE support, and (for better, or worse, LOL) I've already spent more time here lurking in support than I have in General. I wasn't commenting on the actual support staff of either company. The joke wasn't even really aimed at you, personally.

    Just a comic-book-geek joke I drop more often than not, when I come across something completely out of the norm.
