Nice attempt at bringing some positivity!Personally, everything I've seen so far has made me incredibly optimistic about healing in the next expansion. I haven't really seen any hype yet surrounding healers, and I believe there is plenty of reason to be excited.
Here are things that I noticed that peak my interest:
WHM is seen with 2 stacks of Thin Air
Displacement/Totem Healing
Holy/Misery Upgrade/Additional Skill
AST has Lord and Lady of Crowns returning as their own ability
Lord causes the enemy to flinch, signifying that it is likely AoE Damage
Lady causes what appears to be a healing affect on the Reaper, signifying AoE Healing
Divination is no longer tied to Seals
Seals provide AST a self buff
Meteor Shower also appears to be a damaging ability
SCH is being given an in-combat party-wide movement increase
It's funny to meme about, but the actual potential of this skill is incredible
I agree that SCH drew the short straw on flashy abilities however.
SGE is able to heal their designated target by dealing damage.
This is something I'm probably the most excited about, since this could be a platform for experimenting with Healers dealing damage in order to heal. (unlikely)
The numerous requests and complaints about complexity for Healer damage rotations has clearly been answered with a firm "No" on several different occasions, most recently in the 9/17 Live Letter. There are plenty of other things to be excited about with regards to Healing and we still hardly know anything.
It is probably unlikely, but I personally hope that the new Holy/gravity/AoW will be useful on single target. (in the veins of good ol' Aero 3/Shadowflare).
Unfortunately they are probably just upgrades.
