I didn't know asking for something equivalent to Warrior's rotation is now considered "hardcore". I suppose Dragoon must be uber elitist levels of difficult while Summoner is just downright impossible. Two buttons during downtime is a good thing. I want to play soraka and yuumi not zed who can heal and has lots of mechanics. You healers need to be grateful you won’t have to deal with the pain of openers and rotations made by the balance etc. You get to just play the game and enjoy healing when needed and broil in the meantime it’s stress free. And let’s people casually heal content instead of everything being hardcore.
Or maybe consider that many people feel your definition of "stress free" incredibly boring. This is why having options would be nice. White Mage can have the more simplified rotation while the other healers go in a different direction instead of everything getting dumbed down, White Mage included.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
Just leave skilled play to ast and sage because clearly sch is also part of the simple half of the healers. besides it's not like the simplest job had never gotten to become the hardest job just look at Sam.

So you want to perform at a high percentage for your job, but you don't want to put in any work to achieve those numbers. That's the least fair thing I can possibly think about.
"Professor, I don't want to study for the exam. Can you just make all the answers A so I don't need to study but still get a high grade? Thanks"
We get a few new shiny toys, which I am okay with.
None of the new toys solve the Glarebroil spam issue though. In fact, with SCH's mobility, WHM new AoE tools and shorter caster times, the issue becomes worse.
Healing downtime will be made even more prevalent. Sure, exciting new possibilities for Glarebroil during progression/speedkills and easier weaving around Glarebroil. Optimization made more accessible than ever.
Now YOU too can Glarebroil like the pros.

No. The changes suck. We're still going to be SPAMMING one button endlessly.
It's absolute shit design.
... But you're wrong about Soraka not having many mechanics compared to zed? League in general is highly dependent on many mechanics: mobility, positioning, landing skillshots, bursting your enemy, healing/shielding, Crowd Control, and skill synergy. Soraka's Q (AoE Attack) not only slows enemies and opens opportunities to land skillshots better/trap opponents, but her Q also empowers her W (single target heal) by giving a regen effect and gives a buff to mobility. Her E (AoE silence, after a while becomes a root to enemies in range) is great to engage on enemy with and disengage by placing it near your allies thanks to the skill silence effect since they'll have to risk walking into a zone without skills and being hit by your team's skills instead.
Normally, an enemy can walk out of Soraka's E. However, landing a Q ensures the enemy will be too slow and get hit by the 2nd part of Soraka's silence - the root, thereby allowing more room for allies to reposition without worry of being chased and also land skillshots without missing. Having the enemies get hit by the 2nd part of her E also does a second hit of how much damage her E initially does, which becomes pretty important if you want to increase the initial burst damage when using it as an engage at lower levels.
Her toolkit may be simple to understand, but to use her effectively, it requires more tactical skill to setup the conditions to get the optimal result. Especially since the Q has a telegraph and a delay before landing, you have to predict or create a situation where the enemy will be forced to get hit by the skillshot. The speed at which the skillshot falls is also determined based on how far you are from the Q.
For Zed, it just seems more challenging because you have to keep in mind the locations of your shadows and ensure the shadows all hit the same target. However, it's not that much more complex once you understand how the core kit works since all Champions have 4 skills + 2 summoner spells in their toolkit. The difference in gameplay is how you use all your additional factors to remove the weakpoints in your gameplay.
To put it in perspective... Soraka's actual gameplay is more like a combination of SGE, SCH's mobility skill buff.
