Kind of doubt that. I mean why would they show nothing using aetherflow or gauge? The gauge is already super underutilized. Healers really don't need yet another oGCD heal. Unless the slide reveals some great passives or something, this is looking pretty rip, as per usual in a x.0 patch.

DoT management is not that great. I'd trade them for better looking spells. Sage has some buff on low cd that augments spells so people who wanted fun and engaging healer have already been provided with an alternative to the boring nuke spam. In the job action trailer they didn't showcased all of Sage's abilities if the one we saw from the benchmark was actually unique and not a lower level version of something else.

Scholar mains can look at Sage as Sch revamped from scratch with blue effects instead of green.

They have a healing ability that gets triggered from an offensive spell. It is more or less the same as managing embrace while nuking but reworked. We will have to see how often we can use it.

I like how they were laughing while they talked about Scholar.

And WHM got Asylum 2.0, so more time to spam Glare while that healing field does the job which you have queued for.

It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.

    Good:

Offensive cast time is reduced to 1.5s cast time
WHM - Higher tier holy to help accumulate lilies.
AST - offensive/healing aoe (probably it's version of Assize)
SCH - Partywide movement speed buff added that is effective even during combat (obviously not perpetual to avoid party makeup skewing towards scholar). Will not overlap with sprint. This is a fringe benefit of a dmg reduction aoe.

    Neutral:

WHM - Divine Benison has been changed to a charge action
AST - Skews to pure healer, with Diurnal/Nocturnal sect being removed and actions being adjusted for diurnal sect. Neutral sect does give shields now though

    Bad:

WHM - Fluid Aura is removed instead of worked upon to seem more like its old version
    AST - enhancements self-buffs only
SCH - ... that's all they said about scholar. That's it.

    Sage stuff
    - Able to attack enemies and heal party members at the same time (By designating a party member to heal, and then attacking the enemy. This heals the party member). Called Cardia.
    - Possibility for offensive actions to turn into DoT.
    - Sage Resource
    - Gap closer

My jaw dropped when they said there wasn't much they could have changed with Scholar. I don't understand how they can think the current design is okay even after the past two years of complaints.

Healers already have the tools for damage mitigation. SCH actually got a second one, the AoE sprint everyone is crying about is also a damage mitigation buff

For heavens sake, I dont want to spend 2 more years mashing one damned button 95% of the time.
How can they not see this as an issue?

Mitigation from what ? the unavoidable dmg every boss does ??? if a dps doesnt move for a aoe before hes not move out of it even when hes faster. Like and in statics you stand 99% of the time anyway far away so if this skill doesnt has infinite range its still gonna suck for a lot of stuff. Like cool 4 people move faster for limit cut or wormhole holy fluff thats gonna change the entire mechanic

If you do not need the movement speed you use it as yet another mitigation tool in a healer rotation. what is so hard about that to understand?! Mitigation is always a good thing to have and in the possible chance that sch has more options for raw party mitigation then sage because of this that will be an advantage it has over sage. the movement Speed is a fringe niche effect to a cooldown that will ALWAYS be useful to have.
