While I do my expert daily, and leveling when I'm actually leveling jobs in a new expansion, don't act like the time spent for that 100K isn't significant.

    Daily Expert takes 20m
    Daily leveling takes 25m
    Lvl 80 - 25m
    5/6/7 - 25m
    MSQ can easily take 45m-1h
    PVP can take 20m
Alliance can take 30m depending if you get one of the later ones
Trials 15-20m or more depending if you wipe or not

All of that time is extremely inefficient for that amount of gil.

I say that as someone who just went over 100 mill from largely doing dailies as well. It's taken 8 years to get there.

    But back on topic:

If you queue as the adventurer in need you should get ALL the bonuses of the normal roulette. It would definitely incentivize tanks and healers to queue. It doesn't happen often but I have seen DPS in need as well.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

I don't mind tanking or healing but I do mind people telling me what to do when I know my own capabilities more than you do. I don't wall pull because I know unless my healers on the ball, I'm going to die if invuln is on CD. And the healers I get? Trash. Think glare mage that doesn't use ogcds or even look at health bars then blame me for not mitigating because I ran out because the dps was crap. That's happened a few times to me now.

I don't solo queue into dungeons anymore as a result. Not as a tank.

When you run out of mitigation most enemies require you to be in melee range to attack you, so you can take a few steps back to delay their attacks while you get healed or run around in a circle so it doesn't affect melee and physical DPS.

Please for the love of God don't run in circles while I'm trying to burn the group of enemies down with aoes. All that results in is you still taking auto attacks from various enemies while anyone with aoes centered around them now has to chase them, and anyone that has to target enemies now have to deal with them potentially running out of range.

No, you don't take autos when you run from them and if you run in a small circle then the DPS do not have to move at all. If the alternative is that you are going to die because of a lack of healing then it's better to run.

Unless you sprint, you won't outrun most mobs. And if you do take off in a sprint in mid-pull, you're gonna tick off the rest of the party and probably end up kicked.

If a pack of enemies lasts long enough that you run out of mitigation and are actually in danger, then there's a serious problem. Either you're missing a CD, or the DPS aren't doing their job. Either way, running around won't fix it.

At that point you're better off popping your invuln than running

I think he's talking about spinning mobs, because with some bosses and mobs you can just completely stop them from being able to autoattack you if you spin them, it's just that you have to move in a very precise way and I really doubt it works on packs.
