This. It's a perfect stranger making jokes at someone else's expense. And the general feeling in this thread is that said person just has to put up with being the butt of their joke because they want to tell it. But they don't have to do that. They can find it tired or unfunny or inappropriate. And they're not being uptight or a party pooper when they do so. They're asserting what their boundaries are.

Apparently us having boundaries is deemed highly problematic by the community. If we don't go along with the joke we're 'uptight' or 'need to go outside'.
