I think that's part of the reason for some that male Viera has received so much love. Finally there is a chance to play a male character with less stereotypically masculine features and with more slight, 'feminine' builds and same goes for facial features.

Tbh, especially as far as video games at large goes.
I'd say that applies to most male characters in FFXIV :P.

In fact I'd say Final Fantasy in general.
