Okay that’s actually really interesting. I tried to learn german back in high school but got confused really quickly by sentence structure ahah, so seeing it explained like that seems fairly straightforward.(Cant edit because on Phone.)
To add to that, Sie is also the nicer Form for "you", like a determiner.
You use either "du" or "Sie" if you talk to someone. Sie is for people you dont know so well. In that case you would also use the Same sentence structure you would use for the Plural "they" sie.
Would you like to trink a glass of water? -> Möchten Sie ein Glas Wasser trinken?
Just something I wanted to add really quickly xD

Yeah, and adding to the actual work of changing it, the right gender neutral pronoun would have to be determined first. Because in germany right now there is none that is officially recognized. And I have no Idea if one exists in french for example.
TL;DR:
Too many complications, not a realistic change to make.
So while all in all it might be nice and stuff, it IS just an addition for a niche audience, and it's just not possible to implement rn.
Like I already wrote, personally I still don't think it's a needed change. There are waaay more important things that need devtime. :/

i wish people won't use the push for pronoun in video games and other thing to push political goal i wish people what allow people to play fantasy game without attempt drag the really world into my fantasy games. we play video game to not worried about political or pronouns it hasn't work well for wow it made game stupid
Tossing in two cents. If it is not hard to add, do it? If it is don't?
That is pretty much it. Like it does not bother me at all for the option. At the same time, I can see the point being made about how it is a fantasy world, and it does not have the same rules as the real one. So unless the fantasy lore has its reasons and as far as I see it does not. Why add it?
either way, not my fight. So I have no skin in this game.
