That is pretty much it. Like it does not bother me at all for the option. At the same time, I can see the point being made about how it is a fantasy world, and it does not have the same rules as the real one. So unless the fantasy lore has its reasons and as far as I see it does not. Why add it?

I speak for everyone when I say that we do not care about the sexuality of the players, if I have to refer to a stranger in a dungeon or any area of the game I am going to refer to the sex of the character, do you want me to tell you otherwise? Well, tell me and that's it.

PD: In any case, in the story I think it would complicate the dialogues too much and I doubt that Square intends to get so complicated by this

It's amazing how the word "pronoun" gets some people real mad.

I don't think SE will introduce what OP wants because it would be a lot of work for a small audience and it wouldn't be equally effective across all client languages.

But if this change came only those who used the option to change the pronoun could see the effect. You can't see or hear npc dialogue directed at another player. The pronoun change in npc dialogue would be a purely personal experience because reading/hearing npc dialogue directed at your character is already a purely personal experience. Of course players themselves can tell other players to use specific pronouns but they can already anyway so it's not as if what OP wants would make that happen.

I do think there are better things SE can spend their resources on, but in general I'm not opposed to allowing people to choose their pronouns in real life or a game. I just don't view it as an issue. I know many do, but for me it's a /shrug

By continuing your archaic joke, you verify the lack of empathy you possess for others that deal with this issue. Considering this topic has nothing to do with sexual identity, and more to do with gender identity, you come across as significantly inept at being able to understand. Perhaps you should check out Apache: Air Assault, where you can fulfill your need to be an attack helicopter to your heart's content. It's almost as old as this joke.
