Please implement something to teach players how to play

I never said every dungeon has to be speedrun. I even pointed out, myself, in the post you just quoted, that there are other means of enjoying content that are reasonable from the context of its situation and form.

I'm arguing only the idea that no expectations can ever be set, one way or the other, just because the players we encounter are random, is pure bogus. Joining a general pool does not exempt you from any and all expectations.

I will add this, though: the group matters. That the others are random doesn't give us license to wave high a "difference of playstyle" banner and go unchanged, either; you are in a group. Refusing to change for the majority around you is to force change upon them, because it is a group activity. Our "right" to play how we want when that play differs from others' preferred playstyles, in a group, is necessarily going to be in conflict with their "right" to play how they want. And, on the onset, we're the 1, not the n-1. We don't each have a party's worth of power, nor should we. So let's not call the would-be despot the victim here.

When whatever behaviors that would seemingly maximize enjoyment or interests met among my party are opposed from what I would want to do, I either just deal with it for that brief time or I leave so they've a chance at a better fit with my replacement.

Now imagine that I am your tank and you are my healer. We are in Mt Gulg. Do you think we would clear the dungeon if you were only using cure 1 and I were using no cooldowns whilst I decided to do 'The pull of legends'. Would you truly be content not able to clear the duty you queued for via the 'convenient duty finder', timer to lockout of the story mode dungeon ticking down. Maybe this is the dps' first time here and they are stuck with a tank and a healer who are 'playing their way' which in turn is not letting them clear the duty. They can not solo the dungeon, they just wished to have fun, but they are just dying over and over again, due to others on their team being selfish.

Maybe I was just raised differently, but this is just evil. Truly, truly evil. You probably do not care because you are playing the board game with no rules, but the board game always had rules. You are taking the board game they wished to play with you, and throwing it into a volcano. It is a blatant disregarded to the well being of those around you and you should be ashamed.

This is the only multiplayer game I have ever played where people act this way, never in all my time have I seen something so patently absurd.

People are playing the game, and getting through the content without meeting your standards.

Just how people are acting and examples people gave. It pretty much seems like a job the way people acting about it.

Also nothing wrong with being a casual. This is a casual game and the community embraces it.

I know my job's rotations thanks and I do well and don't just sit there. I do PLAY...doesn't mean I like elitists trying to harp on every little thing people do wrong in DF. Don't like roulette? Stay the heck out of it or form a party with people you know. I play this game for the story/gathering/crafting. Roulettes and DF runs are simply for tomes and gil for me. I am not looking for someone to be parsing me and expecting the ultimate in perfection in a daily roulette in Satasha. Thankfully, YOU are not on my DC so I never have to worry about being plopped in a party with you.
