[Critical] Male Viera height slider; tall option. Show your support.

I do understand that most people are excited for male Viera and want to theorise how certain aspects of it will look like. That is more than ok. Also, I appreciate the androgynous-like look they've implemented to the gender. However, I find the approach used in this thread kinda outlandish in the sense that it is almost like you're telling an artist how to paint their piece and that's unsettling. Demanding things like this is just ludicrous and marking this request as "critical" is demagogic because it does not reflect anything critical at all (only to the person who wrote it, maybe). Male gender is soon to be implemented in the game... and the developers of this game should be allowed to operate in an equilibrium reached between their customers' needs/desires and their creative/developer freedom. You don't always get what you want and that's called compromise.

I think the new male race looks pretty sweet. Sorry it doesn't satisfy the I want a male Viera crowd but I'm sure there are plenty who wanted something like this. I can't wait to see many of the associated animations with both races.

Because resources are finite and this way they can make two distinctly different races then a single race with slight differences.

There is absolutely no reason why male Viera shouldn't have lengthy height slider; being the last male added to the game who doesn't look like something straight out world of warcraft they should be made to cover the tall side of the male side, as well as the average/short end.
It might turn out that they already designed them to be tall (or achieve a tall height through slider) already. Not supporting a femroe-like height slider, it might cross out a short male Viera option. Those wanting a short Viera might not get their wish at all.

There was never a battle to begin with, if anything, the dev team releasing male viera[and Female Hrothgar] was predictable, for me the only surprise is that it was in 6.0 and not 7.0.

Also you said it yourself, its possible they are taller than they look via the slider, but shouldnt we wait for the benchmark to get a decent confirmation, and not assume the worse over something so little?

1. Just because you thought they would come out by 7.0 doesn't mean that everyone else did. The quotes above tell us much, I can find 10-20 more such examples claiming that these sorts of requests never work.
2. It's critical to me, and probably some others, live and let live.
3. Wait for benchmark? When benchmark comes out the chances they would consider this is very low. No, right now is the best time to bring it up. It's like asking those that created the Male Viera support thread to wait until 6.0 to request them because they already stated "we can't do it right now because of resources." Your advise is definitely not recommended.

That's unconfirmed. I'm inclined to think that the male Viera in the promotional footage were not necessarily set at their maximum possible height. We won't know for certain until the benchmark is out - which isn't likely to be until closer to the expansion's official release date.

A lot of the comparisons being made are not on the same scale, and this one which at least makes an attempt to correct that does not suggest to me that they are in fact shorter - assuming the male there is max height, they'd be around the same. If not, taller. In the male elezen height range, which is unsurprising as Yoshi P compared them to that in past interviews. As you say though, we won't know for sure until the benchmark,

Female Roegadyn are very tall and are the least played race and gender combination present in the game.

Apologies for the delay. Yes, Roe women *are* taller than most other males of other races, but that's not what I meant. I meant that I believe its time that females were taller than their male counterparts *within* a race. The viera race might provide that very thing.
