Considering that all melee jobs have some degree of positionals the strange would be for Reaper to have none. Probably will have a similar ammount as Dragoon, but could also have less ofc, certainly not the ammount as monk unless they want to troll people (and would find it ironic and amusing the reactions to see xD)
Something I noticed is that whenever the Voidsent does a strike (wether by summoning it or fusing with it) the Reaper has a slight green effect applied to them, similar to that of a lifesteal effect.
It may be just that, lifesteal, or MP, or another ressource entirely. Whatever it is, it seems like attacking with the Voidsent gives you something back.
We've only really focused on the gauge they mentioned (for obvious reasons), but there can of course be more than one resource/gauge for them, like other jobs have.Something I noticed is that whenever the Voidsent does a strike (wether by summoning it or fusing with it) the Reaper has a slight green effect applied to them, similar to that of a lifesteal effect.

A pretty standard way of doing it, would be to have a gauge that fills up on normal weaponskills (all or just some of them), which allows you to summon the void avatar. Then the avatar attacks will give you another resource, which you eventually can use to merge with the avatar into that other form.
That's as far as I'm willing to take these wild speculations though.
^ That last response reminds me of Bad Mr. Frosty from Clay Fighters. He should be the WoL Reaper avatar.
"Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. They stood back to back as the galaxy burned - always brothers, never friends; traitors together unto the last."

The "lifesteal" vfx still applies while merged though, so maybe it's just lifesteal or it is used for an ability we have yet to seeWe've only really focused on the gauge they mentioned (for obvious reasons), but there can of course be more than one resource/gauge for them, like other jobs have.

Since Reaper is sorta toeing the necromancer line, it'd be interesting if it were to be a Melee DPS with a raise of some sort. It would need to be on a long cooldown, or reaper would need to utilize MP in some way, but it'd be a novel utility for a Melee DPS to have when it's been the realm of casters for so long.
Eylmao, can't wait to see those complaint threads if they do.Since Reaper is sorta toeing the necromancer line, it'd be interesting if it were to be a Melee DPS with a raise of some sort. I don't really understand where the connection between reaper and necromancer comes from.Since Reaper is sorta toeing the necromancer line, it'd be interesting if it were to be a Melee DPS with a raise of some sort. There similarities between them thematically ofc, but (grim) reaper has nothing to do with being able to raise the dead or anything like that. They reap souls. The void avatar is not some undead that reaper raises. That's what a necromancer does, and that's a very different and already existing job in the game.
Putting that aside... DPS jobs being able to raise is a bad idea in the first place IMO, unless you give it to a whole sub-role (ranged, caster or melee), which also doesn't make sense.
It has only created difficulties within the caster role, since it easily becomes way to sought after, or not sought after at all (since you need to have some sacrifice for it, like DPS). I also doubt many would want to have lower DPS or rDPS, just so they get to raise people and mess up their rotation. Might seem selfish, but not many would enjoy that. It's already something keeping people away from RDM.
