Well, I've always thought many people have wanted bunny boys, for some... weird.. reasons. Specifically for things such as ERP and the mods to go with it, for you know what. It's very weird in that sense, and I know it's (unfortunately) true.

People who play catgirls shouldn't throw ERP stones.

In more seriousness: like BunniEclair said, it's a non-argument. People want/would want any race for ERP, even lalafell. Saying "many people" is a strawman. "many people" want them because they like the race but don't want to play a female character, "many people" want them because they just want to see what the dev team does with them, "many people" want them to make the world feel more complete instead of "oh, you JUST missed him! He would have liked you!"

Female Viera dont need as much attention, because alot of them in fact splintered from their culture, accepting the burden that they are outcasts and can never come home. Males dont have that lore explanation.

Congratulations that's the same explanation the Males need, they don't need any other.

I could just be alone in the fact that I care about consistent lore building, and wont accept that just because XIV breaks its own lore, that its just fine if the same thing happens to another race that comes from another game.

Ok, again:

These are not the same Viera from the Ivalice Alliance games. You can tell by their faces, you can tell by their lack of claws, you can tell by their feet, you can tell by their naming conventions, you can tell by their societal structures (the males aren't solitary in XII, they just live in separate villages), you can tell from their Racial Gear (which should have been the average Eruyt Village but is instead Fran's particular outfit), heck, you can tell from THEIR EARS (Fran's sit more to the sides of her head, they point outwards more obviously). Anything that changes to the Viera Lore in this game will not repercute on Ivalice Lore, and Ivalice Lore is not binding to XIV Lore.
