So very true, but I'll fantasia to a max height Male Viera when Endwalker comes anyways, though I will miss those few inches since my female Viera is max height. Already have the fantasia ready any everything, it's just taking so long for November 19th to come :c

I would have rather have both males and females though to have the same exact minimum and maximum height, but I suppose the few inches won't be too noticeable in game unless a max height female Viera stand next to a max height male.

same same, i‘ve created a f viera around 186cm (max male height) and i must say you still will feel pretty tall. most of the people play female characters on minimum, or male hyur and miqo‘te anyways so you‘ll keep the feeling of being a tall race. i would have loved the extra cm too tho, just to have more differentiation to male hyur xD but not really a killer for me, can‘t wait to phantasia into one as well!

i‘d recommend to keep an eye out on zeplas youtube/twitch channel on the 13th, since they will be able tho show us stuff from the media tour event. zepla has already stated she‘ll look into male viera, so we could expect a glimpse on their emotes and other exciting stuff!

I hope that female Hrothgar don't take too long to see added, so that the gender options aren't unfairly imbalanced. Happy to see male Viera finally be appearing though!

I'd say expect them with 7.0, anything earlier in my opinion is highly unlikely... I would be positively surprised if they come earlier tho!

Ah, true! I completely forgot that content creators can start talking about the media tour on the 13th. I really want to see the emotes for the Male Viera, it'll most likely determine if I'll actually commit and be patient enough for November to fantasia, or turn back into the Miqo'te or Au Ra presets I have saved at the moment.

And I am also looking forward to a possible Viera zone, or Viera hanging out in Thanvir or something like that... God forbid they make another relic zone like Bozja/Eureka and make that the Viera zone; I absolutely hate those areas tbh. It was cool seeing the Viera NPCs in the first, but perhaps the Male Viera would be out and about to. Would make sense since it is technically the end of the world in Endwalker, though I would also be pretty hyped if Female Hrothgar are introduced in the patches after 6.0, though they might tie them to 7.0's expansion as an expansion feature. It would make them money that way, but I do hope people will have that option sooner rather than later since I am super curious how the female Hrothgar are going to look like ^.^

I don't think the NPC has to be wrong for playable Viera to be a believable. The chances of several true Black Mages running around, let alone congregating at the plaza of Limsa with weapons made out of the body parts of god-like entities is so far beyond reality, but no one is trying to scream and thrash about it breaking immersion.

Viera, especially male Viera, are rare to see outside of their wood. This doesn't change just because they're playable, but it is made possible because we are all playing the main character of our own MSQ. We get to be the exception. I am still holding out hope we do encounter more Viera settlements in EW, though. FFXIV is setting the stage to be the single resource for male Viera lore, and I expect them to give the buns the same treatment they gave Au Ra.

I'd just say to save the fantasia. Female viera look quite a bit better than the male variants, and I'm betting many will switch back sooner than later.

Which is normal, all races release was like that: Au'ra, Hrothgar and FemViera.
First month (and dare say week) will have a boon of bunnies everywhere and then when the hype goes down, who liked stay as.

I don't know about that. Au Ra are very popular: both males and females. Not to mention they aren't limited. Male viera are limited, and I can't see the appeal for them like male au ra in comparison either.

most will be using it and people will revert a week or two later or keep going just how it is.

I kind of like the males a little bit better, though only 2 out of 4 face options I like for them. Not sure what the voices will sound like in combat, but that'll be a deal breaker for me if they don't have any good combat sounds. And I'm already used to not wearing hats or not having access to hairstyles, so if the males turn out the same way as the females and them being limited then it won't bother me... that and the male's hairstyles I like a lot better than the ones given to the females, and for male characters I tend to not switch up their hairstyle too often, so it's all positives for me so far.
