Tired of Zenos (spoilers)

Zenos? The Sylvanas of FFXIV? They're hardly comparable. I feel that these comparisons are just being used as an insult; Sylvanas has become an unpopular character in the Warcraft universe who vastly overstayed her welcome. Zenos has not been around nearly as long as Sylvanas. And Sylvanas ultimately suffers from bad writing. Sure, it can be argued that Zenos, too, suffers from bad writing, but let's face it, SE knows what they want to do with Zenos, and Blizzard keeps Sylvanas around for reasons I can only guess. Certainly not to tell a good story. Sylvanas' story ended in Wrath of the Lich King. That was it. She re-lived to kill Arthas. Done.

Ascians were boring stereotypical villains until they were given life in Shadowbringers. Hopefully SE will pull off the same with Zenos next expansion.

She was intriguing until they decided they were going to remake her character for Cataclysm. I'm still convinced that the only reason Blizzard removed Battle for Undercity was because it would have acted as a very hard spotlight on the retcon.

Only reason she still had fans was because they gave her the new half naked dragon belf body model to go with the retcon. And a lot of those were lost when they covered it in leather armor for Legion.

I think the real reason is that it took place on an instanced map of Tirisfal and Undercity, which doesn't 100% match up with the new maps made in Cataclysm, and they decided it was easier to axe the instance than remap it. Which is a shame, it was one of the biggest quest lines in Northrend, and the way it just dead ends now is lame.
