Tired of Zenos (spoilers)

Ascians were boring stereotypical villains until they were given life in Shadowbringers. Hopefully SE will pull off the same with Zenos next expansion.

She has a very, very loud fanbase. She's narrative cancer, but enough people love her that they keep her around anyway.

She was intriguing until they decided they were going to remake her character for Cataclysm. I'm still convinced that the only reason Blizzard removed Battle for Undercity was because it would have acted as a very hard spotlight on the retcon.

Only reason she still had fans was because they gave her the new half naked dragon belf body model to go with the retcon. And a lot of those were lost when they covered it in leather armor for Legion.

I don't know much about the forum's history so I searched titanman. Unfortunately it just seems like people (and always the same people I might add) are accusing anyone and everyone of being titanman. At some point you trolls need to grow up and find a new hobby. In the meantime looks like I'm adding another one to the ignore list.

His first post was a necro on a hot topic.

Every topic he creates about questions are all questions which have drama surrounding it.

Despite being a newbie, the treasure island character has clearly bought a level 70 boost and used it on none of the starting classes- a level 70 boost that, might I add, titanman buys on every alt.

Also, despite his innocent "uwu i'm a newbie plz help" characterisation now, earlier posts had him not quite having his character figured out yet. This doesn't read like the same "person" posing all these "questions."

I think the real reason is that it took place on an instanced map of Tirisfal and Undercity, which doesn't 100% match up with the new maps made in Cataclysm, and they decided it was easier to axe the instance than remap it. Which is a shame, it was one of the biggest quest lines in Northrend, and the way it just dead ends now is lame.

I mean, in regards to Zenos? The man said he needs a new weapon. He's gonna get one that's probably more powerful than Ame-no-Habakiri. If the WoL were to be defeated in any scenario and killed as of right now, we're talking about THE END OF THE WORLD. That's the scenario we have in Endwalker. The Final Days would happen and the world would end - and for that matter, we don't even know what'll happen to the other shards once the Source goes boom in that regard.

The story just ends no matter how you slice it. You can say the same about Shadowbringers and Urianger's premonition at Lv 72. If that doesn't give strong drive to stay alive before 78/79, then I won't know what does, because the stakes are HIGH AS CAN BE.

If Zenos killed the WoL, the game's story wouldn't immediately end, because Fandaniel would still be trying to bring about the end of everything. But Zenos's story would be over, because he has no other story any more.

Not really. As badly written as Zod was Man of Steel, if he killed Superman, he would still terraform Earth and remake Krypton. Yes the world ends for humanity as Earth gets terraformed, but Zod has an end goal to achieve that is beyond "Kill Superman" because he wants to save his people. It would continue a plotline from Act 1 of that movie about the fate of Krypton.

I'm one of those who really like Zenos, though I have a feeling he won't be as prominent as some might think. I could be wrong of course -- but I believe Fandaniel is FFXIV's "Seventh Doctor": appearing playful/harmless/buffoonish so people don't suspect the devilish schemer underneath. Sure, they could do the whole "Zenos takes Zodi's power and the WoL responds with Hyde's power" resulting in the end of both primals at the conclusion, but methinks there'll be something sneakier / less predictable than that.
